I remember when his company poisoned our military with contaminated drinking water in the Iraq war he started to get at the oil. archive.thinkprogress.org

Let's not forget the soldiers that were electrocuted in the showers either or the ones went to a landfill instead of a proper burial. www.nbcnews.com

Good times.

This thread ought to be better than the Falwell thread form years ago.

#8 | Posted by HanoverFist at 2025-11-04 08:54 AM

Sad that he never was charged with war crimes.

#9 | Posted by DarkVader at 2025-11-04 08:59 AM

Only 84? I thought he was that old back in the 2000s.

I figured Sauron was cool with him keeping the ring for a while.

He showed us what a Vice President was supposed to be. How to actually do a job and have power and matter in the 2nd position. To be able to get something done. 100 times better than "Heels up" Harris, a DEI hire who did NOTHING in the position.

RIP sir..

"100 times better than "Heels up" Harris, a DEI hire who did NOTHING in the position."

"She did a lousy job, and she didn't really do anything" reminds me of "the food here is awful, and there's so little of it!" complaint.

Shocker.

Boaz has nothing but praise for the IG constitution shredder.

It's almost as if he's an anti-American mooch.

Where is the love? Are you forgetting he was reformed into "Elder Statesman" status when he became anti-Trump?

"Sad that he never was charged with war crimes."

I was never really a fan of his, but c'mon, does anyone really think that a former president would be handcuffed over their response to what happened in 2001? Seems about as feasible as charging over half the country with war crimes. (Recall that over 70% of the public supported the Iraq war when it began.)

"Where is the love? Are you forgetting he was reformed into "Elder Statesman" status when he became anti-Trump?"

It seems everyone is forgetting that, including the Trumpers praising him in this thread.

One of the few people in this world who could have had Der Dotard killed with a phone call. I recall the 2000 debate with VP candidates with Cheney raised the word 'recession' and put the country into one, so he and W could get us out of it early in their administration. A good trick, and demonstration of his dark arts...

Never was a fan, but I wish his family peace in the coming months as they grieve.

Cheney messed up the Afghanistan war.

He lied us into the Iraq war and got millions of Iraqis killed and thousands of Americans killed all for his oil buddies.

In doing so, he blew up the national debt.

And Boaz thinks he was a better vice president than Harris...

This is your modern MAGAt.

Dick Cheney on Donald Trump:

"Dick Cheney attacks Donald Trump as greatest threat to our republic'"

(2022)

"In our nation's 236-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump," said Cheney, who served as vice-president for two terms under George W Bush.

Cheney said: "He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him.

"He is a coward. A real man wouldn't lie to his supporters. He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it, he knows it, and deep down I think most Republicans know it."

www.theguardian.com

He was wrong a lot, but right at least once.
I just wish it was Trump that he shot in the face.
RIP (wherever)

"He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it, he knows it, and deep down I think most Republicans know it."

Narrator: In fact, most Republicans don't accept that Trump lost. Because deep down, most Republicans are fascists.

Every president does something illegal during the first couple weeks they're in office. All get away with it. President Cheney knew that.

#30 | Posted by lee_the_agent at 2025-11-04 11:24 AM

how many dead Iraqis and American soldiers so that his company could make money off of the gulf war? Dick was responsible for more American deaths than Bin Laden.

Everything you need to know to form an opinion about Dick Cheney is: Pat Tillman.

Still was an evil ass clown who killed millions to make money.

"Where is the love?"

You tell us. How should we love him? Why should we love him?

Did you love him? Do you love him?

Tell us what love is. Think you can?

This should be interesting.

Cheney messed up the Afghanistan war.

Messed up?

Naw, he intentionally let Bin Laden escape because his goombah's in the Saudi Royal family wanted it that way.

I'll save my sympathy for Scooter Libby ~~ not the coward who let him take the fall.
