Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, November 20, 2025

Remember five days ago when Trump told Bondi to investigate any Democrats with links to Epstein. Well any active investigation can stop the DOJ from releasing the files, or at least all the files.

Trump will not release these files because if he does he will burn.

Everyone know this, so as he continues not to release the he burns anyway.

For God's sake, is there not a woman out there who will give him a BJ in the White House?
Because that, apparently, is the ONLY THING that Republicans find grounds for impeachment!

I'm shocked! Shocked I tells ya!

Trump is like the hunted criminal running out of time and excuses and distractions. The Bill says it is Illegal for the DOJ not to release the Files. And the Exception for an ongoing Investigation, which Trump started up last week, is Temporary.

Republicans smell blood in the water, including the Economic Bleeding News... Ted Cruz has now stared his 2028 Presidential Campaign, lmao... and MTG is in Open Revolt.

FDT is not the only monster in this story. Even if he completely redacts his name, the empty space will continue to tell a story. The prominent people he is willing to toss under the bus on this are prominent, and will respond. Larry Summers is already out at Harvard, and good riddance, but the women who are bravely coming forward have claimed there are around 1,000 victims in this. FDT is going to slip. His lies about this are starting to conflict, and he is too demented to keep them straight anymore.

While I hate making links to X, the auditor that I watched last night doesn't have a published assessment, so here is a sample: Here's a look at the Epstein files after Bondi does her "national security" redactions

Several pages are 100% redacted. It's coming from people inside that Bondi has redacted 85% of the Epstein documents, so I didn't include "allegedly".

#24 And Jesus wept over the bastardization of His word.

#26 | Posted by A_Friend at 2025-11-20 03:08 PM | Reply | Funny: 1 | Newsworthy 1

An example:

FDT has maintained that he did not know Epstein well. He claims to have kicked Epstein out of Mar a Lago (a claim Epstein refuted, supposedly not being a member of the club to begin with), because he was mad that Epstein was "stealing his girls." Just yesterday, he claimed he kicked Epstein out of Mar a Lago because he was a pervert. His story is changing, and even the anchors of his story are probably lies.

Before history gets rewritten by the Repubiclowns here and elsewhere, remember this: the Democratic Party was not clamoring for these files to be released. That was all MAGA. Fast forward to today, and you now see 100% of Democrats in support of releasing the unredacted (except for victims), complete release of the files. At this point, anyone who is against their release is either involved or complicit.

Precisely how is foreign involvement a "problem" to expose?

Do you have a specific person in mind? Close ally to Epstein Prince Andrew, perhaps?

You seem to misunderstand - Epstein was an intelligence operative connecting world leaders in meetings a deals.

Trump brought him along to the UAE and offered Epstein a position in his cabinet in 2017.

And your response is to "just turn your head and do nothing", got it.

Jesus answered the question, "who is my brother?" by saying that anyone who is a believer is my brother.

When asked who is my neighbor, he told the story of the Good Samaritan who gave aid and comfort to a Jew who was assaulted on the road and other Jews passed him by... astonishing his listeners because the Samaritans were considered to be trash by the Jews.

Meaning that even the lowest of the low is your neighbor.

And what did he say about neighbors? Love your neighbor as yourself.

These are NOT MAGAnite sayings.

In TrumpWorld, murdering 600,000 people by starvation, 2/3'rds of them children, isn't a problem at all.

Those of us who have not submitted to the cult of FDT have always recognized the blackmail targets within the Repubican Party, and the national security nightmare of electing a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist to the highest office. All those years of MAGA loyalists like yourself twisting yourselves into pretzel shapes to justify and defend this dangerously compromised crime boss, when we warned you repeatedly that he's a Russian asset, either as a useful idiot or under the thumb of Putin.

I hope the psychological crashout you experience when you finally discover reality doesn't match your fantasy dream world isn't too bad.

Not fake at all. I was raised in the Catholic Church, and was an altar boy back when Mass was still in Latin. I learned the Ten Commandments, and the danger of breaking ANY of them. Let's compare me with Trump, shall we?

I believe in a power higher than myself. Trump worships mammon.
I went to church regularly; now I pray regularly. Trump does neither.
I've honored my parents, both when they were alive, and after they passed. Trump does neither.
I've been faithful to my wife. Trump has not.
I've been fair to contractors, paying them better than agreed. Trump shortchanged them, and told them to find redress in court.
I'm careful to speak the truth. Trump lies so often, it's difficult to keep track.
I have no desire for my neighbors' wife. Trump has been a serial adulterer.
I have no jealousy over what my neighbors have. Trump wants EVERYTHING his neighbor has.

My guess is we swear about the same. And I accept a President may be forced to kill.

Frankly, I can't name two Commandments Trump follows. And neither can you; I've asked over a dozen times.

There's no speculation about the FACT that your Hero abruptly cut off food and medicine, with no chance for others to take up the slack, killing 600,000 people, 2/3rds of the children.

And you couldn't care less, because it was Trump who did that. Imagine if Obama or Biden had done that.

#77 The border is not closed.

The southern border with Mexico is exactly the same today as it was 1 year ago, 2 years ago, etc.

The difference today? Why is it that everyone is NOW convinced that the "border is secure"?

'Tis a simple matter:

When was the last time Fox, OAN, Newsmax, Breitbart, and all of the usual voices on the right spoke about caravans coming up from the south?

When was the last time all of those news "sources," plus all of the MSM coverage, talked about chaos at the southern border caused by so-called "patriots" heading that way to knock heads with the "illegals"?

Why, the last time all of that "news" coverage was front-and-center was when a Democrat was in office.

Now, the "border is secure" because Americans aren't being fed a daily line of bovine excrement that it isn't secure.

Exact same circumstances as 1, 2 or even 3 years ago.

You're just missing out on the necessary "bread and circuses" dance the Trump and company wanted you to dance before, but not so much now.

Trix are for kids!" is the famous tagline for the Trix cereal brand, a slogan used in commercials where children tell a rabbit that the cereal is not for him. The phrase has become widely recognized and has been referenced in other media.

Origin: The tagline was created by the advertising executive Paul Harris.
Mascot: It is associated with the Trix Rabbit, a mascot who tries to get the cereal but is always outsmarted by the children.
Commercials: The children's response to the rabbit is always "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!".
Cultural impact: The phrase has become a well-known part of popular culture, used even in other TV shows and films, notes Reddit users.

It's not that and you know it. You know from my posts I would NOT defend sex trafficking or abusing minors.

What I've been saying is that the decision not to release the Epstein files may have more to do with protecting relationships with other countries, than Trump worrying about himself.

And that raises two questions.

1. What would be the impact on international relations if powerful people in other countries were exposed?
2. Is it America's responsibility to act as the world's morality police?

Lastly, those files were already in DOJ custody during the Biden administration. If there had been something solid implicating Trump, it's hard to imagine that administration just quietly sitting on it.

That's one of the least plausible assertions ever made on these hallowed yellow pages... Trump concerned about anyone or anything other than himself? Blasphemous!

And the constantly obtuse Biden Whataboutism?

"But both agencies have cited longstanding legal restrictions as well as the sensitive content of certain materials"including evidence of child sexual abuse and personally identifiable information about victims"as reasons why some files could not be publicly released.

The Justice Department under Biden did not unilaterally release all Epstein-related files, in large part due to these established legal constraints.

According to congressional records and DOJ statements, more than 33,000 pages of documents related to Epstein have been provided to Congress, some of which have since been made public by the House Oversight Committee."

"Rep Stansbury: Epstein Files Say Trump Accused Of Raping 13 Yr Old"

The 13-year-old rape allegation against Trump came from a 2016 civil lawsuit filed under the pseudonym "Katie Johnson," a case that was filed multiple times with different lawyers and different versions of the story.

The accuser never appeared publicly, never testified, and never produced corroborating evidence. Her own lawyers eventually withdrew, and the accuser dismissed the lawsuit herself right before the election, citing threats.

No criminal case was ever opened, no verified witnesses ever came forward, and no evidence ever survived basic scrutiny. Even media outlets hostile to Trump ultimately concluded the accusation was unverifiable.

Mail in ballots, even absentee ballots have a built in inherent risk because they are uncounted ballots being transported.

In small numbers, the risk is less.

States have confirmation systems. If you were correct, there would be lots of folks who complained of mailing in, but the system didn't confirm. Where are they??? Oregon, in particular, has 30 years of data you could check.

It shows. You've never acknowledged ballots are serialized and watermarked. You've never admitted a returned mail-in ballot not requested is investigated. You've never even addressed the math problem of any minor incidences being offset by similar incidences from the other side. Nor have you accepted the impossibility of crime at scale, at least by the individual voter. And you've NEVER admitted if no one has come forward, especially five years after a close election, your theory is statistically impossible.

FTW, the Heritage Foundation's compendium on vote fraud convictions shows a few fascinating things:

States average about one conviction per state per year.
Most of the crimes are done by canvassers, cullers, or counters...not voters.
When voters do it, it's almost always the garden-variety kind: either voting for a newly-deceased member of the household, or voting twice because of a move, and land ownership (and the ability for voting registration) in two states.
The number of fraudulently-cast votes is almost always ONE.
Never fraud at scale (except for the "Three Cs", above)
Never fraud by trying multiple votes at the same precinct, disguised.

Oh, and the most common reason given when a reason was given? I thought the other side was doing it.

Dan,

"Ultimately, every legal voter should be able to choose the way they cast their legal vote."

With voting, the opportunity to vote without hinderance or pressure to vote a particular way, is very important.

Voting out of sight of family members or anyone who might pressure you, is critical for a free election.

Considering the dynamics of home settings and the ease of pressuring members of the family, in person private voting is the only solution.

Providing the option to vote with mail ballots, the leader of a group or family may dictate how they will all vote. That would negate your idea that "every legal voter should be able to choose the way they cast their legal vote". I do agree with you but the dynamics of family may prevent that.

Requiring in person secure private voting is critical for a true democracy.

Setting up early voting is a fair way to give people time to get to the polls.

Then scan the ballot as they leave.

KISS.

"Keep it simple stupid."

"Setting up early voting is a fair way to give people time to get to the polls."

Manning the polls for weeks on end before the election costs about 100x more than simply mailing them a ballot.
But mailing them a ballot is not 100x as risky.
It's not even 2x as risky.

I thought you said you understood accounting.
I think you only understand how to lie.

Or...mark your little circle, feed your ballot into the scanner and leave...

You voted and your vote was counted.

It would have to happen A LOT MORE on one "side" to make any statistical difference.

"Requiring in person secure private voting is critical for a true democracy."

It's also much, MUCH easier to control. You'd be suppressing more votes than any proven fraud.

"the opportunity to vote without hinderance or pressure to vote a particular way, is very important."

Bill is a lost soul and no amount of reality will dissuade him from his delusions.

His attempts to rewrite the facts and the truths of history to ease the storms in his "soul" will come to naught.

A believer believes what he wants to believe no matter what Life or History teaches them. Many have gone to their graves that way. I suspect BJ will just be another lost soul who thinks he knows stuff and will go to his grave with a smug look on his face when he really knows nothing of the Nothing. Until he enters the "Nothing".

Another Life full of sound and fury signifying nothing (about nothing).

No one ever said that Democracy is easy; what Thomas Jefferson said was we would likely lose it to banks and corporations and the elite because that's what usually happens throughout history.

And with the first White House for Sale! Billionaire President and his wealthiest Cabinet in History and his wealthiest Elite donors in history... Democracy is well on the way down the toilet as Jefferson predicted.

And Trump's Cult? They couldn't care less about the failure of Democracy to the bullying of Capitol.

Because they still think they won something... and they did; what I just described.

They seem incapable of thinking beyond their own interests...

"The behavior you are describing is generally referred to as egocentrism or a lack of empathy.
Egocentrism is a cognitive bias where a person is unable to understand or consider that other people may have a different perspective, opinions, or feelings than their own.

While common in childhood development, some adults retain this self-focused mindset and struggle to imagine a viewpoint other than their own.

A lack of empathy is the inability to understand or share the feelings of another person. This can be a trait in various personality types or conditions.

The inability to think beyond one's own interests can also be associated with:

Narcissism: This personality trait involves a constant need for admiration and an excessive focus on oneself, often stemming from a need to feel important and valued.

Cognitive Bias: People may exhibit biases, such as the false consensus effect (overestimating how much others share their perspective) or the Dunning-Kruger effect (overestimating their own competence due to a lack of knowledge in a specific area).

Personality Disorders: Certain personality disorders, such as schizoid personality disorder or aspects of Borderline Personality Disorder, can involve being absorbed in one's own thinking or difficulty maintaining stable relationships due to a limited perception of others.

Lack of Theory of Mind: This is the ability to recognize that other people's experiences and thoughts are separate from one's own.

Most people develop this skill in childhood, but some do not.

If you are dealing with someone who exhibits this behavior, it can be emotionally challenging, and you may need to set boundaries or seek support for yourself."

"I'm talking about risk management, not cost."

You aren't, though.
You are hinting at risk.
But you are not able to quantify the risk.

And you're especially not willing to quantify the number of eligible voters who won't be able to vote if their vote by mail is taken away.

You have decided, instead, those voters deserve to be disenfranchised if they can't make it to the polls in person.

Snoofy,

"And you're especially not willing to quantify the number of eligible voters who won't be able to vote if their vote by mail is taken away."

Mail in ballots on this scale is new.

Face it. With liberals, its never enough.

Never ever.

They get this, they want that.

They get that, they want something else.

And if they don't get what they what, they cry victim or oppressed.

Anything to prevent people from being accountable and responsible for themselves.

If you want to vote, get your lazy butt to the polls.

Or apply for an absentee ballot if you qualify.

Lazy doesn't qualify.

#170 | Posted by BillJohnson at 2025-11-21 06:25 PM | Reply | Funny: 1

#170 No, mail-in on "this scale" is an absolute bovine excrement excuse.

Election administration in the United States is highly decentralized with each state having a unique set of laws that govern voting procedures. Federal law provides some minimums to which the states must adhere. Therefore, the best source of practical registration and voting information is your local elections office.

The de-centralized nature of the US electoral system renders your impotent excuses (e.g.: papa bear might intimidate mama bear) just that:

Flaccid.

#175 | Posted by Corky at 2025-11-21 07:06 PM | Reply | Funny: 1

Snoofy,

"Oregon has been doing it exclusively by mail for decades, so it clearly scales just fine."

There are eight states using mail-in ballots exclusively. Of those, 6 are solid democrat, 1 is solid republican and 1 is iffy now, but was solid democrat.

A state being "solid" means elections aren't contested. Results aren't verified closely. Ballots aren't recounted. Thinking things are "just fine" has not had the need to be tested and verified. Really, you don't know if things are "just fine" or not.

Eight states running vote by mail isn't remotely the same as rolling it out nationwide. You're talking about millions more uncounted ballots in transit, processed through thousands of different offices, postal hubs, and election boards.

Every additional handoff increases exposure.

Every new location adds another failure point.

Risks are compound.

An election isn't something you run on "good enough." It demands the best, tightest, most controlled processes you can manage. Mail-in ballots aren't that.

Opportunities to lose these uncounted ballots to accidents is an election disaster just waiting to happen.

Acting like 8 states smoothly translates to 50 isn't smart. It's amateur and reckless.

Absentee ballots are necessary and are less risk just due to the smaller number. Some people can't vote any other way.

I have sent out 1000's of payments to suppliers during my accounting career and you are absolutely correct. Very few checks get lost. About half of the ones that get lost and are replaced, eventually show up.

And so what? I know that.

My objection with mail-in ballots is multi-faceted.

I'm not getting into it again. Read my older posts.

"You're making excuses to make it harder for "certain" people to vote."

The mass mailing out of ballots to all registered voters was a workaround and the result of COVID.

Now its voter suppression if it isn't continued.

Early voting removes the voter suppression argument. If you can't get out for some reason, apply for an absentee ballot.

I don't internalize the insults. They mean nothing. Just don't talk about my family. That pisses me off.

Also, anyone who attacks my life choices from living a gay lifestyle to marrying a woman, I consider a complete hypocrite and write them off.

Actually, I appreciate other opinions to consider if I find any validity to them.

Donner,

"Thoroughly ridiculed and humiliated."

I stopped caring about personal insults a long time ago. You think this place is the first arena where I've been given grief? I think I've always stressed that on this site. Gay people shouldn't feel they need approval from the straight world. If they accept you, great. If they don't, don't internalize it. Confidence comes from within, not from applause.

My living "out" years were the mid-70s into the 80s. That wasn't exactly an openly gay era. But I was never ever closeted. Anyone with any sophistication today, can see straight thru me without me saying a word.

What kept me afloat was my skills. I could take a PC apart, setup a LAN and hand an owner financial statements more accurate and defensible than anything they'd ever seen. Accounting and computers were my strength.

It definitely wasn't charm.

Working directly with owners and upper management, not to mention training employees who fought change, you either had a back bone or you were ineffective.

So no...I don't feel humiliated by anyone here.

"But that's why you got married to a woman."

I married a woman because I fell in love with her after being friends for years and she loves me.

Funny story...I am literally her knight on a white horse, sorta. She was living with me and I was fighting with myself. She moved back home. I am gay...but I need her. I borrowed my neighbors old white Cadillac and pulled up in front of her house. After waiting awhile, I saw the front curtains open and her father standing there. A few minutes later she came out to the car. I said, "let's get married". She said, "ok".

I'm the only man she's ever loved.

Our marriage is closer now than ever.

You just have to let it happen naturally.

Too bad so many people kick a true love to the curb thinking they deserve better, richer, better looking, less this...more of that.

In my case, she did not fit the narrative what I imagined spending my life with. But we had no issues in the bedroom, at all.

JeffJ, you're not man enough to read this article, which details Trump's many contribution to human trafficking"

Death, Sexual Violence and Human Trafficking: Fallout From U.S. Aid Withdrawal Hits the World's Most Fragile Locations

American diplomats in at least two countries have recently delivered internal reports to Washington that reflect a grim new reality taking hold abroad: The Trump administration's sudden withdrawal of foreign aid is bringing about the violence and chaos that many had warned would come.

The vacuum left after the U.S. abandoned its humanitarian commitments has destabilized some of the most fragile locations in the world and thrown refugee camps further into unrest, according to State Department correspondence and notes obtained by ProPublica.

The assessments are not just predictions about the future but detailed accounts of what has already occurred, making them among the first such reports from inside the Trump administration to surface publicly " though experts suspect they will not be the last. The diplomats warned in their correspondence that stopping aid may undermine efforts to combat terrorism.

#201 | Posted by BellRinger

In addition to welcoming in alleged sexual violator and human trafficker Andrew Tate,
Much to the joy of "Libertarians" like yourself, Trump pardoned Ross Ulbricht, founder of Silk Road, the marketplace for illicit drugs and human trafficking!

Trump Shouldn't Pardon Dark Web "Pirate" Ulbricht

The dark web generally refers to parts of the internet that someone needs specialized software"such as the Tor Browser"to access. It seeks to anonymize users, and as a result has become a hotbed for criminal activity, where users take advantage of bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies to anonymously make and receive payments for everything from guns and drugs to child pornography and human trafficking more generally.

That's where Ulbricht, masquerading as Dread Pirate Roberts"an allusion to a character from the movie "Princess Bride""saw an opportunity to profit and founded Silk Road. Think of it as an anonymous eBay or Amazon for drugs and other illicit activities.
