All the Republican Party has to do to get rid of trump is pay him off, the way he got paid off to go away from the bankrupted casinos. Sure, America is now bankrupt thanks to the massive tax cuts, but Trump, I am sure, would take a few billions to go back to Mar a lago with a complete pardon.

If ever there were a war that proved Marine General Smedley Butler's comment, and title of his book, War is a Racket, it is this Middle East war to steal Iranian oil, and kill Iranians for Netanyahu.

As has been pointed out since the founding of this country, we either take money out of politics and elections, or it all falls to the inevitable revolution of the rich and greedy caste.
And yes, I do think we are in a falling empire, there are too many of the uncaring, super rich looting the treasury with huge tax cuts to ever pay our bills, so that means we are in fact BANKRUPT.

While I think many in the Democratic Party here in America are fine human beings, they are trying to be lawmakers in a land run by gangsters, and even if the midterms go their way...Trump. He can get us into a shooting war at any minute, to distract from his grifting ways.

It is the inevitable rise of the gangster caste when you elect someone like Al Capone to run your government, then the real law is outlawed so the outlaws can steal at will. We are living in a falling empire, run as the Russian empire is run, for their own gangsters, the billionaire oligarchs.

I am not a billion dollars in debt, and have no real idea how the markets work, other than to be absolutely certain the game is rigged, no matter what game, by this time the super rich have it all under their control to fleece the poor and the powerless.
These days I often hear the songs of the "Music Man" rambling around in my head as I see the corruption spread. The "hero" was a con man who sold lies and musical instruments...

This country of ours has so many needs, so many old and disabled people struggling to get through their days, but Trump and his gang are focused on grabbing all the grift and bribes they can before the midterms probably bring in the cops, or the Democratic investigations.

And soon, one expects, the greatest con of them all will take place, Trump will resign so that his VP at the time can automatically rise to the Presidency and as the Republican Party hack did for Nixon, pardon Trump for each and every of his unlawful grifts and grabs, including war crimes that involved murder...from the high seas to Iranian leaders.
No one is in charge of this country, but there are gangsters out there grabbing for everything that isn't nailed down, as happens in a falling empire.

You cannot take it with you, I am told. Trump is what is happening across the American financial world, the rich are becoming gods in that they own it all, their kids get the best, and the poor get...trade school.

America was lucky as hell to have the fight for rights of African Americans led by MLK Jr., as he believed in non violent civil disobedience. It took a long time, but things are definitely better than they were in 1960. In twenty years or so we whites will not longer be in the majority...now that would be an amazing time to experience. Even Trump using ICE as his brownshirt gang will not change the demographics.

Again, one does wish there were job qualifications in political jobs, people would have to show talent and experience in high level jobs...

One might ask if the ugly can get worse, I mean we started a war with Iran and murdered over 40 of its leaders, partially to distract from the Epstein files. If the Dems do gain control of both Houses of Congress and the Epstein files are released, what is left for Trump to do but try another insurrection riot?

MAGA looked at Trump and the women he ran against, and they said...hell no, we won't be allowing no woman to be boss...
And so, the idiocracy, for at least a couple of months, or perhaps for two years.
Imagine decent people, imagine there actually being a heaven, imagine Jimmy Carter looking down and weeping for his country.

Either the rule of law, or the law of the jungle, take your pick...goodness knows I wish the UN could adjudicate all such issues...
But then, I am an American and my idiotic government routinely murders criminal suspects on the high seas...so clearly I am powerless to stop anything or anyone.

Massively important medical study, that America will mostly ignore. To know the facts, and still go out to a Saturday or Sunday football game, or High School Friday night for that matter, is shameful, it just is. Clearly, football should be abolished in high schools as it is child abuse.

In every jurisdiction in America, the extrajudicial killing of criminal suspects is murder. They are carrying out those murders in your name, if you are an American.

He bankrupted those casinos but don't forget, he refused to leave their governance until he was given a lot of money. Then he left and the rest were left to try and pick up the pieces. That sure feels like how he is treating this country as well...bankrupted, for the profit of himself and the billionaires, and then he either gets total pardon or...nice country you got here...

How they treat people in foreign lands is how they are going to treat us right here in the good old usa. If you are at the bottom of the economic pyramid, you are worthless to them, so you survive only if you struggle and take whatever low wage is offered....unions are the enemy in America.
ICE murders people, and so does Hegseth, day and night.

It was nice belonging within a country, my country, the United States, when it did peaceful and useful things around the globe, when it cared about the poor and powerless right here at home. Now, I live in a country that is led by some terrible human beings, war criminals who murder at will for their own personal profit, and along the way, they are bankrupting the treasury by insanely large tax cuts for the billionaire caste.

Late stage capitalism looks like late stage communism looks like late stage Russian style fascism...a few billionaire oligarchs own most of the wealth and have corrupted the entire legal system...And here in the good old late state capitalist empire of the Trump fascist regime, we look forward to several years of hell as he tries to destroy our one person one vote democracy with the help of the bully gangster Musk.

The DOJ is just another arm of the Trump fascist regime and that is that. Corruption is the order of the day.
