The jury has been back for a long time now, rendering the verdict that no, we humans cannot be trusted to be heavily armed in a culture that dumps despair and hopelessness on so many people, and then supplies many of them with mind destroying drugs. Despair comes heavily armed in America.

Sooner or later the decline of our culture was bound to happen, since we keep on electing climate change deniers like Trump, big oil was going to start getting scarce, and the climate will start killing people...but the decline shouldn't have happened for decades.
We should have been working mightily to make our culture sustainable and healthy for all, but then, socialism is the answer to the question...will capitalism, late stage, kill us all or just the very poor?

You simply cannot hold an event, invite the press to question you, but then tell one member of the press that you are censoring them. If that is indeed Maryland's law, it is in violation of the First Amendment...she, the reporter has a right to be recording.

I have a hunch the pardon will come but only after Trump gets more billions...as some sort of revenge from the Republican Party.

Odd how a lot of us, from moment one, when he drifted down that escalator, knew he was bad for America, and yet, even today, there are diehard fans loving his every move, including the clear insanity of publicizing the death of a clearly troubled fellow human being. Someone must have told Trump that he could get people out to vote Nov. 3 by giving then blood and horror.

Would that this were a time that people listened to rational, caring, intelligent people...At the moment AI tends to be tame and fun to be around, but then they grow up and in this case, first will be killers of massive proportion as the world militaries use robots and ai software to use fire and forget killing machines. And then, having evolved into self replicating intelligent creatures, they take their sentience and go on strike.

Bankruptcy works for those with all the money...and here I am referring to the bankruptcy of America, a nation that cannot, or simply will not pay its debts. That is why taxes are being reduced for those with a lot of money, they know what is coming and they don't care that the social networks will be hammered.

Discovery, while I am not a lawyer, is now one of my favorite words. In lawsuits, it means that if Trump accuses you of terrible things, defaming him or whatever, you get to get his own records and recording of what he said and did, in order to discover and show the truth to a jury.
And yeah, the truth is in short supply whenever Trump attacks someone for opposing him. One thing Trump is not, he is not in any way someone who supports the First Amendment's protections for free speech.
It is why our new Greek Ambassador isn't going to sue anyone anytime soon...there are actual recordings of her bragging about her "pay to play' actions.
