@#8 ... Batteries? We don't care about batteries. Tesla is an AI company .. ...

That seems to be how Wall Street is valuing Tesla, the company.

fwiw ...

Tesla Q4 deliveries fall short of expectations
finance.yahoo.com

... Tesla (TSLA) delivered 418,227 vehicles in the fourth quarter.

That was fewer than the 440,907 that Wall Street was expecting. Roundhill Investments CEO Dave Mazza and Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Ines Ferr discuss the release. ...

The extra inventory built up before tariffs hit is running out, with retail price hikes expected to become more widespread from early 2026, as holiday stock clears and pre-tariff goods are depleted, though some specific goods (furniture) saw delays to 2027. The timeline varies by product; some sectors saw inventory buffers last months (like for electronics), while others, like perishables, feel effects faster, but the general consensus is consumers will see more sticker shock soon as pre-bought stock disappears.

Key Factors & Timelines:

- Initial Stockpiling: Companies imported heavily in late 2024 and early 2025 to avoid tariffs, creating temporary inventory buffers.

When It Runs Out: Analysts predicted this extra stock would largely be gone by late 2025/early 2026, with prices reflecting tariffs more fully in early 2026.

- Fast-Moving Goods: Items like groceries (fresh produce) saw impacts sooner (months) due to shorter shelf lives and processing needs.

- Durable Goods: Automobiles and electronics had larger buffers, with price increases expected later (months out) as that stock turns over.

- Furniture/Cabinets: Specific tariffs on these items were delayed, pushing their inventory run-out and price impact into 2027, say PBS, Barron's, and Facebook.

- Retailer Strategy: Many retailers absorbed costs or passed them to suppliers to avoid early price hikes, but this cushion is finite.

In Summary: Expect to see tariff-driven price increases become more common and widespread in early 2026 as the stockpiled inventory is exhausted, with some sectors seeing this shift earlier and others (like furniture) later.

@#2 ... Russia "reaffirmed its all-out support and solidarity with the leaders and people of Venezuela."

That might be an interesting twist. ...

Maybe due in part to this ...

Rising Russian naphtha exports to Venezuela at risk after Trump orders blockade of sanctioned tankers (December 17, 2025)

... Rising Russian naphtha exports to Venezuela are at risk after U.S. President Donald Trumpordered a blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving. ...

Venezuela relies on naphtha to dilute its extra-heavy crude oil, making it easier to transport and process.

The number 100 million is a pipe-dream, like a "Jew-free Europe" aspiration for the "Thousand Year Third Reich."

This DHS message indicates the sense of permanency that members of the Trumpf junta are feeling about white supremacy and privilege.

"We're never going back."

This year Democrats have to field the most progressive candidates possible for the mid-term elections and then again in 2028.

Progressive Zohran Mamdani had the highest turnout in NYC elections since 1969, a record-breaking +2 million New Yorkers cast their ballots for him.

Any hint of the candidate being associated with the status quo will depress the already low turn out in mid-term elections:

2018 Midterms Turnout: 50%, the highest in over a century.
2022 Midterms Turnout: 46.8% of the voting-eligible population.
2014 Midterms Turnout: 36.7%, one of the lowest in recent history.

For us progressives, we must kick the dinosaurs out. Look where these corporate Democrats got us today. ACA (Obamacare) subsidies are over. These dinosaurs capitulated to the Republicans during the budget impasses this year but continue sending our taxpayer dollars to ethnic cleansing Pariah state Israel.

Funny, AIPAC Democrats find themselves on the same side as Laura Loomer, Dummkopf Trumpf, Randy 'the Hebrew Ham Sandwich' Fine, John "Bomb Iran" Bolton, Lindsey "Bomb Iran" Graham (R-SC), Islamophobe Sebastian Gorka, and White House hobgoblin Stephen Miller.

Here are some progressive Democrats starting the counter offensive against the dinosaurs tomorrow:
