Yes Nerf.. Clinton, Obama, Trump, and Bush were all boomers.
But at one time there were at least 79 million boomers in America.
Surely you are not blaming all of them for what a handful of politicians have done?
And a good argument can be made that Boomers have had more time, energy and resources at their disposal to continually enrich themselves because they literally worked hard for it.
When Boomers entered the workforce and started establishing households between 1955 and 1975, their massive population size created a surge in consumer demand. Which of course increases inflation.
It's true that economic and social landscapes have shifted drastically, leading to an understandable frustration. Younger generations face inflated housing markets, increased costs of higher education, and stagnant real wages, making the path to traditional financial milestones much harder than it was for previous generations.
Boomers created wealth. And inflation. By their sheer size and by just trying to survive and live the American Dream.
Blaming an entire generation for today's economic climate oversimplifies the many complex issues involved.
But blaming the last generation (and your parents) for all your problems is an old American tradition.
And no worries Nerf. You won't have us to kick sand at much longer. But of course you may continue to blame us for your problems forever.
