"All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It's my favorite book," Trump said in the video posted on Truth Social. "I'm proud to endorse and encourage you to get this Bible. We must make America pray again."

Billing itself as "the only Bible endorsed by President Trump!" the new venture's website calls it "Easy-to-read" with "large print" and a "slim design" that "invites you to explore God's Word anywhere, any time."

Besides a King James Version translation, it includes copies of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as a handwritten chorus of the famous Greenwood song.

The Bible is just the latest commercial venture that Trump has pursued while campaigning."

"Happy Holy Week! Let's Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible," Trump posted, linking to a website featuring the books.

While money from the sales is not being funneled to Trump's campaign, according to the Bible's website, Trump did license the agreement " which means he's likely profiting from it.

"GodBlessTheUSABible.com uses Donald J. Trump's name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms," the site says."

www.politico.com

.

"It isn't Trump's campaign, nor is it the Trump Organization. Rather, it is a mysterious entity known as CIC Ventures, which, according to Ken Bensington of The New York Times, has a lot of overlap with Trump.

"The company that licensed Trump's image and likeness for the $99 NFT trading cards appears to be one founded in 2021 by former Trump advisor Nick Luna and current Trump lawyer John Marion," wrote Bensington on Twitter. "Its mailing address is the same as the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach."

"Little is known about CIC, but a little digging shows that a manila folder seized from Mar-a-Lago by the FBI in August was marked 'Serio Contract' and contained a contract with CIC Ventures and Gold Ventures, per a federal court filing," Bensington continued.

Even some Trump supporters grumbled about the NFT announcement, complaining that the cards on offer were "worthless" and a "scam.""

I am reading that evangelicals are supporting Trump.

I have a theory why that is happening.

Liberals have openly and candidly positioned themselves as the enemy of Christ.

As an example, the law suit closing down a Christian baker who was deliberately harassed until he was out of business hit a nerve with evangelicals. The gay couple could have took their business elsewhere but they chose to push their obsession and hatred all the way to the Supreme Court.

Were it not for this anti-Christian attitude, I really don't know how much evangelicals could have supported Trump.

Christians really have no choice.

Do you think evangelicals are going to vote for a political party that is openly mocking Christianity.

Yeah, but so many other questions..

Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission
en.wikipedia.org

... In a 7-2 decision, the Court ruled that the Commission did not employ religious neutrality, violating Masterpiece owner Jack Phillips's rights to free exercise, and reversed the Commission's decision.

The Court did not rule on the broader intersection of anti-discrimination laws, free exercise of religion, and freedom of speech, due to the complications of the Commission's lack of religious neutrality. ...

So the Court was quite specific in their judgment.

The problem the Christians will have in their support of fmr Pres Trump is that they do not seem to realize that he will toss them aside when they are no longer an asset to his ego.

The Christians, in their hate filled rage against Democrats (who accept Christianity but do not want a White Christian Nation), seem to overlook that aspect of fmr Pres Trump.

You don't know crap about being a Christian if that's what you think.

Read Matthew 25: 31-46. It's a test Christ gave about who's with Him and who won't be going to heaven. Democrat principles are based around this.

Most conservative so-called Christians will easily flunk it and either have to stay in hell or be reincarnated as desperately poor African children or worse.

My "problem" is that I have this book on the end-table next to the sofa I usually sit on. So it is convenient to read. Within reach.

The Complete Parallel Bible with the Apocryphal/Deuterocanonical Books: New Revised Standard Version, Revised English Bible, New American Bible, New Jerusalem
www.amazon.com

(apologies for the amazon.com link, but the search engines didn't turn up a non-purchase link)

I spend a lot of time in that book trying to undersand the Bible.

But yeah, I read that, and I see differences.

For example, "thou shalt not kill" vs "thou shalt not murder." That is significant.

That is why I said that various interpretations of the Bible may open up so many questions.

Best part is a few years back her husband lost his job and when their donations dropped...the pastor stopped by the house to inquire if everything was okay...when she explained the situation..instead of offering the resources of the parish to help them his only comment was "when do you expect him to get a new job".

What most Christians think about this USA Bible:

"The concept of a Bible covered in the American flag, as well as a former president's endorsement of a text Christians consider to be sacred, has raised concern among religious circles. It's also raised questions about Trump's motivations, as the former president finds himself in the middle of several expensive legal battles."

GAL

I think another reason is because Trump finally got rid of Roe V Wade, something the Christian far-right has been trying to do for many years.

I mean, if you're going to go full christo-fascist, with a dash of White Nationalist, then putting the Constitution, Pledge of Allegiance and the Bill of Rights into the Bible will do the job.

Everyone's focused on the irony of a dude, who had extramarital mushroom sex with a ---- sTAr while his wife was recovering from her pregnancy, slinging religious tomes. Forest for the trees, people.

We're 7 months away from the election. Stephen Miller is basically activating the Klan with this move. It gives all those disparate militias a common thread, the PO1135809 Bible, and wraps up their nationalism with their religion. If I were the head of the FBI, I'd be tracking sales of the book pretty closely. It's not funny to me, christo-fascists are scary af, and this reeks of Stephen Miller, who undoubtedly is leaning on historical examples of fascism in America, and who has clearly studied Geobbels...

How many Trump Bibles did you have to buy to get a free ring?

"I heard Trump is giving everyone a new diamond ring."

Sure you have. Trumpy is giving away diamonds! Only $50 shipping and handling. To be paid monthly. Forever. Because diamonds are forever!

Have you also heard what Melanoma had to do to get her diamond ring? You will really enjoy that I bet.

Even trump's kids cancer charity was a scam.

The only thing trump gives away for free is syphilis.

So....the White House will not permit any religious symbols on Easter but will celebrate transgenders on Easter Sunday.

I can just imagine what will be discussed in churches across America tomorrow.

Ronnie,

"Bill Johnson There are a lot of Christians that support Democrats and vote for them."

If you knew more about me you'd see I am quite much of a moderate. Conservative on some issues and liberal on others.

I used to tell myself the same you just said. While it is true there are Christian Democrats (Billy Graham for example), I think things have changed the last few years.

The far left, atheists, and gays have hijacked much of the Democratic party rhetoric as of late.

My personal experiences and opinions are less than favorable about some of the liberal Christian churches.

You are right. I voted Democrat over 20 years and professed to be a Christian. I was attending an extremely conservative church at the time.

I agree with you. But things are changing.

As a Christian I don't know how I can continue supporting a party that is so blatantly anti-Christian. I just read Biden is banning all religious symbols at the White House on Easter. Really? It's Easter...you know...Jesus...risen...Easter.

But Biden will celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility on Easter Sunday.

No...I don't think I can support Democrats anymore.

Trump is selling Bibles....that smacks in the face of everything I dislike about mixing Christianity and capitalism.

It's really offensive for me.

But I might buy one.

Just wish it wasn't the King James.

He could have at least went with a modern English translation.

Trump wants the evangelical vote.

Biden is helping him.

Of course you will. You're not offended at all. Values are necessary for taking offense. Oh, and values are necessary to be Christian.

You should think REAL hard on how jesus would act towards trans people.

The jesus I am aware of was all about the marginalized-lepers, prostitutes, the blind, the feeble, etc.

But, you won't, because your full of hate.

Sad, actually.

BTW

en.wikipedia.org

International Transgender Day of Visibility (often referred to as TDOV or Trans Day Of Visibility) is an annual event occurring on March 31[1][2] dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society.

Is that not the sort of thing jesus supposedly died for?

You either get it or you don't.

Thank god, it isn't against my religion to hate certain mindsets

Bill doesn't understand the inherent silliness in multiple versions of a bible, you know, god's perfect word.

"I don't think I can support Democrats anymore"

Any support you ever had, evaporated after Democrats paved the way to legalize gay marriage. You'll never forgive Democrats for proving your life choices wrong.

Yep. Unwavering support for the guy who steals, lies, commits adultery, doesn't keep the Sabbath, and covets on a daily basis.

All while telling themselves they are good Christians, one and all.

Dan,

You seem to be mistaken about something.

Evangelicals worship Jesus, not Trump.

Evangelicals believe they are sinners forgiven by grace.

To be a "Good Christians" is a goal, but truly humble people might refrain from calling themselves "good".
