My understanding is that the Maduro government is still in place. And I haven't heard the attitude of the Venezuelan armed forces. And I don't think a Yanqui occupation is anything any Venezuelan ever wanted or asked for.

Who will be the first US serviceman killed in Venezuela?

So another $1-2 trillion to bolster US Oil Companies.

What does the average American get for this? Nothing.

"We're going to have our very large United States oil companies, the biggest anywhere in the world, go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure, the oil infrastructure, and start making money for the country, and we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so," he said."

Back in the real world:

MODELL: I think they're looking at it with caution. I don't think that they're eager to jump in. I know the president is eager to see Conoco back in and Exxon back in, and for us to quickly follow a regime change of sort, with inflow of U.S. companies, back to the way things were.

But the boards are going to be very reluctant. Until you have a stabilizing of above-ground political risk in Venezuela - and that's going to take years - I don't think you're going to see them rushing back in."

This is so wrong and senseless on so many levels. The US is at best a colonizer and at worst an overlord of a sovereign nation. Look for
-any US person to now be a target of any locals, including the local drug gangs, which are armed and eager to shoot Yanquis
-the theft of Venezuelan oil or oil profits, because, you know, this action isn't free, although it is cheap
-a military presence which will last until the end of the Trump presidency
-a clueless, limp Congress which will provide no opposition to the actions of the administration and the stooges at the top
-China to take over Taiwan within the next 90 days
-Discussions regarding Ukraine to collapse and the Russian drone and missile strikes to greatly intensify
-protests in the streets of US cities and colleges, just in time for ICE kooks, armed with all manner of firearms, to start shooting those protesters
-even greater lunacy from the White House and Der Dotard, starting this afternoon
-Venezuelan expats in the US to flap their yaps cheering on the current course of action but none daring to move to return to their home country

Happy 2026, the year of chaos ...

I live in Latin America and I just watched the head of the Venezuelan military speak and he say they represent that country and not Trump. In 2019, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Garbage urged the United States to "stay out of Venezuela," remarks that have since resurfaced in the wake of the Trump administration's unprecedented attack on the South American nation and subsequent capturing of its president.

"The United States needs to stay out of Venezuela," Garbage wrote in a 2019 social media post on X. "Let the Venezuelan people determine their future. We don't want other countries to choose our leaders " so we have to stop trying to choose theirs."

Okay, but I'm wondering what outweighs the concerns of "the debt actually becoming a problem."
Or the concern of "How the the two other major actors on the world stage might use this kind of rash action against our interests."

And I don't see how "getting rid of Mexicans" outweighs that, but maybe that's just me. But I don't think it's that.

I think your comment means there is no possible scenario in which you could have possibly voted for Kamala Harris, for any reason. Trump could have raped all those kids, you'd still vote for him.

You're coming to terms with that rape stuff being true anyway, and actually it's not even a thing that concerns you any more, because it never really did. Which is what I already think about you.

You'll let me know if I need to think again about that.

To be crystal clear, the ONLY thing that President Piggy was clear about moving forward is that US oil companies would be going into Venezuela

So,

Who will be protecting them?
Who will be protecting the oil wells?
Who will be protecting the oil refineries?
Who will be protecting the oil pipelines?
Who will be protecting the oil distribution points, like ports?

How much will this cost America?

What if Congress chooses to not fund this security?

Again, this is the ONLY thing President Piggy has stated about the future of Venezuela.

"US oil companies would be going into Venezuela"

I am 100% sure Trumpers have no idea what they're doing here, like, there isn't a plan that the rest of the world is "in" on to make this succeed, because that would mean having to share.

So what I'm thinking is,
What if you're say Royal Dutch Shell, and this ---- happens?
Or OPEC, of which Venezuela is a charter member.

I can't imagine how the rest of the world would want to change, or could survive the change, to accommodate this. And they've already got a good thing going where one hand washes the other.

Seems like this just turns the United States into more of a pariah nation.

The goal is: Become Ungovernable.

Countries like Venezuela are too unstable for democracy to flourish. Hell even countries like the United States democracies are unstable, all it takes is idiots with short memories to elect one corrupt megalomaniac and poof, there goes the supposed beacon of democracy. Dotard will install a puppet strongman who is slavishly loyal to the pedo and Chief while he is alive. Six South American countries are scheduled to participate in the FIFA World Cup 2026: Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, and Paraguay.

Nine African countries have already qualified to participate: Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Cape Verde, and South Africa.

Denmark, which is trying to defend Greenland from Dummkopf Trumpf, has a team competing.

Foreigners will be coming to a warmongering fascist country that deploys masked ICE goons to watch FIFA games at exorbitant prices?

And some of these national leaders have been insulted or disinvited to the US by Dummkopf Trumpf?

How and why this mega-galactic farce, which benefits the Trumpf junta and corporate insiders, hasn't been boycotted, scrubbed, or rubbished yet from top to bottom is bewildering.

He thinks this makes America Stronger.

I don't believe he thinks that at all. In fact i doubt it's even a consideration for him.

Some American oil companies and/or billionaires connected to Trump will get richer from this somehow. That's it.

Trump acts entirely out of self-interest and his pathetic lapdog GOP cucks eat up every minute of it.

Rubio says the US will "retain levers of leverage". Quite the wordsmith.

Who was getting rich on Venezuelan oil before?

That was rhetorical. It's Putin.
