Liberals should be cheering Trump on. They've always wanted the scarce energy, Euro-style fuel prices for America.

Trump doesn't care that a quarter of US households reporting having to resort to paying for groceries with credit otherwise they couldn't afford them.

His comment is spot on, dipsh*t.

On topic, how incredibly tone deaf by Trump. It seems like he wants the GOP to get clobbered in the midterms.

The DSA platform is to spend taxes on working class Americans.

The Republican and corporate democrats platform is to spend taxes on wars and the wealthy.

- Republicans fearmonger about how liberals want scarce energy and high fuel prices
- Republicans cause scarce energy and high fuel prices
- Suddenly scarce energy and high fuel prices are okay and liberals should be happy about what they never wished for

Wasn't the idea behind the New Green Deal for America become more reliant of renewable energy and less reliant on fossil fuels for this very reason? To reduce any effects of fluctuations in oil prices based on chaos and conflicts somewhere thousands of miles away?

I guess Leftyturd missed all that while screaming about some -ism that he is terrified of.

OK Pedo

Higher fuel costs go hand in hand with subsidizing electric vehicles as a replacement. A green new deal, you could say. Doing one without the other is what the Grand Old Pedo party, your party, is doing. I guess you must own a horse?

The plan didn't get past the Senate. Also, it was electricity, not fuel. Also, there were provisions to protect consumers.
You're comparing something that never happened, to Trump's very real Iran War.

But this is important insight into how the mind of a Trumper works.
Make-Believe Things are just as real as Things That Actually Happened.

Oh please, you googled that.

You also didn't bother to read what he actually meant. It wasn't a wish or a promise, it was an economic prediction due to enactment of clear air regulations on electricity producers.

If you're going to try and act informed at least know WTF you're talking about.

The quote R's are looking for is from Steven Chu. "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe." which were $8 to $10 per gallon, to curb fossil fuel usage and fund public transit.

Which lasted like a month until he was taken to task for it, "I no longer share that view... Of course we don't want the price of gasoline to go up. We want it to go down."

ELECTION DAY RECORD: with a week to go, U.S. gas prices are 42.3c/gal above 2022's election day avg, the priciest election day at the pump ever. diesel is nearly $1/gal above 2022's $5.33/gal. both are on track for the highest election day prices on record
