Won't happen.

America treats the Constitution as Holy Writ.

I hope I'm wrong.

I doubt I am.

" will be a ridiculous step towards alienating smaller states in an already divided country."

That's why it'll never pass: it requires smaller states to relinquish power they currently have.

Too many Constitutional Scholars in those smaller states for that to happen.

Please. The constitution says an insurrectionist can't run for president. The whole country decided to ignore that part.

One of the two triggers to start the next civil war.

That's the remaining power the individual has to keep you progressives at bay.

One of the two triggers to start the next civil war.

So we are back to threatening a civil war now if you don't get your way?

In America you the preferred method for political change is voting.

Sorry that didn't work out for you hateful magamaroons this time. But we warned you years ago and you asked for it. Hell you demanded it.

And Americans responded accordingly.

I'd say too bad. It's wrong the amount of outsized power they wield.

Proportional representation is a much better and fair system.

Just make it a popular vote.

Not this antiquated ----.

I'd wager this tool has been predicting a civil war for the last 20 years.

Just shut up already. Idiot.

boaz dreaming about shooting his fellow Americans again. Because his team lost an election.

------- sad. Pathetic really.

The only ideological difference between Luigi Mangione and Boaz is their targets. red or blue. Disgraceful.

The Electoral College can't be eliminated soon enough.

"The Electoral College can't be eliminated soon enough."

Why would voters in small states vote to become irrelevant?!?

They'd immediately become flyovers. Why campaign in NH or VT if you can just run up the totals in CA?

#15 | Posted by Danforth at 2026-11-06 05:09 PM | Reply

Isn't it enough that small population states get two senators, the same as large population states?

So unless conservative get more power than they earn, they will start killing american citizens?

"Just make it a popular vote."

Remember Florida in 2000?

A close election would unleash 100,000 Floridas, since victory might be found in ANY hamlet.

Might as well call it what it is: The Lawyer's Full Employment Act.

"this tool has been predicting a civil war for the last 20 years."

He sees it as his Days of Glory.

Day One: kill every liberal who ever disagreed with him ... including folks like my wife and I.

Day Two: Fragged by his own men, since he resembled "the enemy".

#18 A US Presidential election based solely on popular vote would NOT unleash "100,000 Floridas".

That's absurd on its face.

Florida was a thing in 2000 solely because of the precious Electoral Votes of Florida.

Disappear the Electoral College in 2000, and Al Gore wins because he had more than a half million votes nationwide.

"Any Hamlet" would NOT have transpired.

Lack of any sort of intelligent response has made you brave, Donnerboy.

'Tis sad to see.

#20 | Danforth, not Donnerboy.

Apologies.

But that does make it even more perplexing, especially considering to whom your moniker is dedicated.

#20 I posted, "...because he had more than a half million votes nationwide."

Too big to rig.

Too big to rig.

Too big to rig.

Too big to rig.

Too big to rig.

Too big to rig.

Too big to rig.

Too big to rig.

Notice how none - Absolute Zero - of the usual suspects here have once uttered the words "Rigged Election" since Tuesday's results ? ? ? ?

Or, "It was stolen."

Nope.

You don't see that whatsoever.

And, the old standby, Democrats win because they cheat!

Nope. YOU DON'T SEE THAT AT ALL FROM ANY OF THE USUAL SUSPECTS HERE.

Oh, there's a s*** load of bitterness, and "you'll see" impotent braying ...

.. BUT NOT A SINGLE WORD from the usual suspects about how the Democrats won because of "cheating."

NOPE.

Not at all.

NOT EVEN IN MISSISSIPPI

Not even there.

ELECTION DENIALISM HAS ENTERED INTO LOCH NESS/BIGFOOT TERRORITY

They're waiting for Trump to say it.

But I think you're right. "Too big to rig."

#23 My dear friend Twin, you're 100% correct.

"Daddy" has to give them permission.

But, is he too far gone at this point?

As always, you're good people, Twin.

Yeah. Back when he would share his little "murder all the libs" fantasies with us, I always thought back to the ending of The Night Of The Living Dead.

#23 I mean, 1,2000,000 more Texans voted for Talarico than Paxton.

You don't "rig" a million plus votes.

Unless you're quoting Loch Ness ...

... or Bigfoot.

It's nice that Republicans come right out and say it: Republicans really don't think the candidate with the most votes for President ought to be the winner. Somehow, that's unfair.

#25 AU and I have often LOL'd at this picture of "patriot" BOAZ:

...AR rifle at the ready, BOAZ children suitably armed, all awaiting at the end of their driveway at the end of a typical, North Carolina middle-class neighborhood cul-de-sac, a place we call the BOAZ Cul-de-Sac.

After the fall of America, BOAZ' fantasy, natch, BOAZ is ready, willing and able to serve in the BOAZ Cul-de-Sac Militia.

His six figure "investment" in America's (and Israel's and China's and Russia's) "arms" is about to pay off, bigly, and the BOAZ family had their war face on!

BOAZ and his family were awaiting orders from their commanding officer, their next-door neighbor of many years:

He was a retired veteran, a "conservative," and most certainly a "Republican." Oh, and did I mention, he's white? But, he watched BOAZ' children grow up. When he said he had "Negro friends," he was thinking exactly of BOAZ.

But, after the fall of America in BOAZ' wet-dream of a fantasy (where he bagged his fair share of "enemies of the state"), the BOAZ family was ready for ACTION ...

Then ...

In comes General Bethlehem, astride his horse, riding into his latest civil war conquest, North Carolina and, today, the BOAZ Cul-de-Sac in North Carolina.

As he rides up, General Bethlehem turns to the commanding officer, sternly inquiring why there are still "enemies of the state" still standing.

For a quick moment, BOAZ' next-door neighbor of many years, the very neighbor who watched the BOAZ children grow up, who laughed at the silly liberals with BOAZ at their favorite watering hole and the VFW ...

... this next-door neighbor of many years, BOAZ' dear friend ...

... turned around and ordered the rest of the BOAZ Cul-de-Sac Militia to open fire on the hapless BOAZ family.

Condemned and summarily executed (along with his family) for being the wrong color in the BOAZ WD CIVIL WAR

Or, at least that's what AU and I LOL and LOL and LOL and LOL about!
