It is as if there is a virus out there that causes world leaders to look for areas of conflict so they too can field armies and be in the headlines.

Now if we, regular old Americans, ran our country, we could do what Bernie has suggested, and stop AI development until this is all sorted out. But of course, the billionaires are their own country, and own our law makers and so...screwed.

Clearly Trump is applying for the title of Worst President in the History of this Constitutional Republic and quite able and willing to bankrupt America to make a point. Some other nations have a deficit with us, and if the entire world does what he suggests...chaos.

I sit here remembering life when I was a kid, around 1950, when the Supreme Court was honorable, a collection of talented legal people, recommended by the Bar associations as I remember, when the President was a man, Eisenhower, who was commander in chief as America and its allies fought Nazi fascism.

Putting climate change denier in charge of the US was stupid, to do it twice was unforgivable. Now all the future can do is troop over to the gravesites of those, people like Trump, who are human caused global warming deniers, long after they die, and urinate away on them, as they try to survive the hell that is coming. We should have been fighting global warming with everything we had including reducing our populations not work like hell to "grow" their numbers.

Proof that stupid fascist ways are not only the province of the stupid leaders of large countries like Russia or America...

Give the people a sense that they have rights, and who knows where that would lead, maybe to the people asking the primary question.
And that question would be, if citizens, we own this entire country, the way people who apple stock own apple, so when do we get our dividend, the profits? That isn't communism or socialism, it is the purest of capitalisms demands. Don't cut down another of my trees, or root for another barrel of oil, on my land without a plan to pay me for my property.

Simple things going undone, unpainted, unpaid for..signs that the falling Soviet Union itself presented that their empire was falling, and the Russian billionaires were looting the treasury in anticipation. Here in America we have the same, with Trump apparently heading to be our Putin.
We are bankrupt, in that bankrupt means that one owes a debt that one cannot pay, or will not pay.

A win for the rule of law side, in contrast to all the wins the law of the jungle Trump gang side has obtained. Still wondering if the courts will protect Oregon's vote by mail elections.

Fascist war criminal, and here I am writing of our President in the US, wants a friend at the meetings, so he makes sure Putin, the worst war criminal on the planet, attends.

Remembering the far right bigots put on the Supreme Court by the Republican Party, and their lies about "settled law"...yeah, lies are what we have come to expect.

Ignorance of a problem is not solving it, and it sure seems like the geniuses in the Executive Branch are intent on ignoring the needs of the sick and the "ahem", minority, and the "male" of course.

Well, she is clearly willing to sell whatever is left of her soul to the Trump gang for a few bucks and people being forced to listen to her lies, so maybe either Press Secretary or another follower slightly behind him telling him he is the best and the smartest and his name will live in the people's minds forever.
In truth, of course, Trump will be as Thatcher was, yes, there will be great celebrations all over the land when he dies, but it will be a uniting of those who hate his guts and what he has done to our America for Putin.

A positive action honoring an honorable person...may that be the order of the day.

At the moment I am reading a memoir of Charley Sheen, and I expect there to be an explosion of memoirs coming from professional military people who tried to serve their country honorably while it was led by incompetent people like Trump and Hegseth. I would love to read James Mattis' memoir of Trump's first term.
As for me, I am convinced we Americans are trapped by a Viktor Yanukovych situation. He was the Putin quisling who led Ukraine until he ran away to Russia, and administered Ukraine for the greater glory...of Putin. Trump is such a person, it sure seems to me, he is dividing us one from another and America from its allies. In Ukraine, they got rid of all those nukes and received a promise from Russia to not invade...
Russia might not try to invade America, but Poland, or some other NATO country....perhaps.
