I'm not opposed to peace. I find it hard to believe Trump could remember all twenty points of his peace plan, but I can't argue with results.

Hopefully next he can make a peace deal with the Venezuelan drug cartels that he's been bombing, IDF style.

What, it's not even Friday yet and Major B gives him that Nobel Peace Prize already?

He also said he's stopped 10 wars this year, and that he was going to make Peace in Ukraine Day One or before.

Trump also said that Mexico was going to pay for a Wall, and that he didn't write the Birthday Card to his Wingman Jeffery Epstein.

But, Kimmel's Revenge says otherwise!

"After the United Nations voted to recognize the People's Republic of China, on October 25, 1971, members of the Tanzanian delegation danced in celebration. The confluence of a communist state attaining prestige and Africans being happy was too much for Reagan, who, in a rage, rang up Nixon.

"Last night, I tell you, to watch that thing on television as I did," Reagan said.

"To see those, those monkeys from those African countries " damn them, they're still uncomfortable wearing shoes!"

Ever the performer, the Gipper knew his audience; Nixon can be heard laughing uproariously."

Lewzer could easily get the Peace Prize if he worked on it. If he can make lasting peace deals that actually do something he'd be a shoo-in.

But that takes a lot of work, and he's lazy. Rubio is the one that should be working on the peace negotiations, but can't risk him getting the Prize instead.

Lewzer could easily get the Peace Prize if he worked on it.

What are you talking about? He has negotiated peace deals in at least 3 conflicts.

If he can make lasting peace deals

At least he's trying. And "lasting" peace deals will up to the people doing the fighting, not Trump. He at least got them to the table and signed something.

The barbaric Muslims do not want cooperative "peace". They only want Muslim peace. Which doesn't include Israel, or anyone else that's not Muslim.

- in at least 3 conflicts.

He claims it's 10... make that 11, now. Other people can actually count.

- signed something.

A ceasefire, not a peace treaty.

#21 | Posted by Corky at 2025-10-08 10:28 PM | Reply

What are you talking about?

My point is, he is not winning the 2025 prize. It's too late. He's not even nominated. It's probably been decided for months already. The 2026 Prize is his for the taking. If he could stop the wars in Gaza and Ukraine in a meaningful way, it's his. And maybe stop with the random boat attacks in the Caribbean. And maybe tone down the threats on the whole planet. Revisiting Kent State after all these years isn't a real "Peace Prize" look, either.

He at least got them to the table and signed something.

Not really, he yelled at other people to do it. He's just flying in for the photo-op. Which is all he ever does.

Zionism is an ethno-supremacist death cult and MAGA is a white supremacist cult of personality. To expect the two to come together and agree on something that will be beneficial for the future well-being of ANYONE on this planet other than themselves is pointless.

There will be no peace as long as those two ultra-violent, fascist entities continue to hold the reins of power in their respective countries.

FWIW, I don't think it will work out. Hamas can agree to something, the PA can agree to something, but at the end of the day, Palestinians don't want peace with Israel. They want to destroy it.

In 2024, 65% of Palestinians opposed a two-state solution.

63% support the continuation of confrontation and intifada.

62% believe the PA should be dissolved.

67% support Hamas's actions on 10/7. In the west bank, it's 73%.

Palestinians have spent the last eight decades being indoctrinated into a belief that something was taken from them. That Palestine has some unique right to exist while Israel does not. I don't think there will be a state of Palestine until Palestinians care more about creating their own state than they do about destroying Israel.

The Palestine Health Authorities report that since 7 Oct 2023, the "barbaric" Jews of Israel have killed 67,194 Muslims, the majority of whom were women and children; at least 169,890 others have been maimed or injured. In the past 24 hours, 11 bodies and 49 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza.

During the armed raid to seize hostages on 7 Oct 2023 in order to effect a prisoner swap for any number of the thousands of Palestinians being barbarically tortured in IDF prisons, 1,200 Israelis were killed and 251 were taken captive. Some reports suggest several Israeli casualties were the result of IDF fratricide.

Note that it took 20 years for the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and Viet Cong (VC) guerrillas to kill 58,281 of our Servicemembers in SE Asia; thanks to the hardworking American taxpayer and German arms manufacturers, the IDF easily surpassed this number by 8,913 within two scant years.

The abominable Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich ghoulishly described Gaza as a potential "real estate bonanza" and claimed he was talking to the US about how to divide up the war-torn enclave (CNN, 18 Sep 2025). Vultures Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, and notorious Islamophobe Tony Blair have been circling the carcass of Gaza for weeks now.

An international arrest warrant issued by the ICC for crimes against humanity remains active for ex-DM Yoav Gallant and PM Benjamin Netanyahu (AKA the 'Butcher of Bethlehem'). But please remember, an indictment is merely an allegation. Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty by an international tribunal which will be held for them at the Hague in the future. To ensure a fair trial, both defendants must be referred to as "alleged" war criminals.

The same act that created Israel also laid the ground for a Palestinian state. You can say that the Palestinians ------ that up, but I think you can lay most of the blame on the Arab neighbors. I'm hoping it will work out, but I don't have a ton of confidence.

My fear is that if all of the hostages, both living and dead, are returned, that Netanyahu will see this as a green light to destroy what's left of a Gaza, if for no other reason than to create the opportunity where Jared Kushner and his Saudi investors will be able to come in and develop what Trump has always seen as the ideal location for a world class Mediterranean Luxury Resort complete with golf courses and condo villages, not for the Palestinians of course, but for the rich and famous. The Palestinians will just need to find some other place to live, or they can become the a 'servant class' for those who will now be occupying what was once their home.

A Gaza peace plan is a one sided negotiation where Palestinians are expected to simply capitulate to all of Israel's demands.

Fact is, the last several peace negotiations have been used by Israel to kill Palestinians in Gaza.

I've said that there are no good guys in this fight since forever; state terrorists and terrorist states, and manipulative wealthy self-interested neighbors and supporters.

The latter including Muslim and arrogant Arab neighbors, Russian and Chinese and American Interests, and in America, a totally misguided religious support that still sees Israel as THE Holy Land, when the rest of Christianity and their scholars try to tell them that, doctrinally, since JC, ALL the earth is holy, not just Israel.

Of course, many rwing Jews in Israel still believe they alone are the Chosen People, and certainly act like they DESERVE respect they haven't earned.

Unindicted Israeli war criminal Bezalel Smotrich demands Benjamin Netanyahu and the IDF continue killing Muslims after the hostages have been freed: Ethnic Cleanser.

Despite the so-called ceasefire, the IDF killed 155 Muslims over the past 24 hours according to the Palestine Health Authority. Since Oct 2023, the IDF killed over 67,000 Palestinians in Gaza, with approximately 170,000 wounded or maimed, mostly children and women.

Israel has received more foreign aid from the US than any other country since WWII. In March 2025, USSECSTATE Marco Rubio expedited $4bn of American taxpayer funds as "emergency military assistance" to the IDF.

An international arrest warrant for war crimes issued by the ICC remains active for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and ex-DM Yoav Gallant. An indictment is merely an allegation. To ensure a fair trial, both defendants must be presumed innocent until they have been proven guilty at a future international tribunal in the Hague.

Atheism is functionally a religion.

POSTED BY BILLJOHNSON

You can say it all day long every day until you are blue in the face but that doesn't make it true.

AI Overview

+3
No, atheism is not a religion because of the lack of any belief in gods or deities, and is not a belief system itself. A religion typically involves a set of organized beliefs, rituals, and worship of a higher power, none of which are required by atheism.

Atheism is simply a position on one question: the existence of God or gods.

Yes there are groups like the American Atheists, or even the ACLU who advocate for the rights of atheists, but this does not mean atheism is a religion.

Also there is this regarding atheists influence in Congress.

AI Overview

+11
The American Atheists organization has limited influence in Congress, primarily due to the severe underrepresentation of nonreligious Americans in elected office. Despite engaging in lobbying and activism, the organization's impact is generally focused on specific legislative issues rather than broad policy initiatives.

Dan,

"You said you were okay with the bells, but not with the Muslim calls to prayer. You didn't like the sound."

I've seen you misunderstand or deliberately misrepresent what I say.

#120...I said, "Church bells stopped ringing in my town years ago. I suspect that's been the trend for most places. The same will be expected of Muslim churches."

Is that clear or will you say in a few weeks I want Christian churches bells ringing.
