Markwayne Mullin is a Cherokee Nations member and a multimillionaire.
He has served only a few years as a US Senator following a special election in 2022.
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt (R) will then select an interim US Senator until Nov 2026.
Stitt and Dummkopf Trumpf recently squabbled over the National Governor's Association dinner.

Possibly because he was appointed and doesn't think he could win an actual election there?
Or maybe because Trump told him to... that's enough for most of his Cult.

Anyone familiar with the business culture of places like Japan will understand the meaning of this expression, which means being given a job where you can do no harm, but you won't lose face with your family as you'll remain employed. Of course, this situation, particularly in Japan, often leads to a more drastic result due to having to face the personal humiliation. However, I suspect that we won't see that happening here.

Keep in mind that the Cherokees were in Oklahoma, after their forced displacement from the Southern states and they enduring the infamous 'trail of tears' during the 30+ years prior to the Civil War, and 60 years before the opening of the Oklahoma territory to white settlers during the famous 1889 Land Run, and so Oklahoma has always been associated with being the home of the Cherokee Nation. And since the Cherokee Nation has always been open to accepting people from other lessor known tribes who had no other place to go, even welcoming former slaves from those same Southern states well before the large influx of white settlers near the end of the 19th century, it's not unusual for people who would appear to have little or no Native American ancestral ties, but who will still often make a claim of having ties back to the Cherokee Nation. Elizabeth Warren being perhaps one of the more notable individuals who's made this claim.

Democrats will be determined to run him down, yet he may end up being remembered as one of the most influential leaders leaving a positive impact on the world.
But I'm sure the history books in public schools will focus on the truly important things, like how his hair looked funny and how he apparently committed every crime known to mankind. He robbed banks, kicked puppies, and stole the Mona Lisa.
He also kept top-secret plans to the Death Star hidden at Mar-a-Lago.
