Vice President JD Vance announced that ICE will expand enforcement by conducting door-to-door deportations ...

More

Alternate links: Google News | Twitter

JD Vance says that ICE agents in Minneapolis were on a "legitimate law enforcement operation," which saw them "going door to door to try to find criminal, illegal aliens and deport them." Can we just talk about the vice president outright saying that this is what ICE is doing now? Door to door?

That one won't float long. If you want to see this nation go into mass protests, this one is likely to trigger it. It goes beyond flaunting the law.

Hi Hamburglar

What a fascinating Republican strategy to lose the 2026 midterm elections.

Midterm elections have historically had much lower turnouts than presidential election years.

"2018 Midterm Election: Turnout was approximately 50%, the highest in over a century for midterms but still significantly lower than a presidential year.

2014 Midterms: Turnout was only about 36.7%, one of the lowest in recent history."

Disgruntled Republicans won't vote for a Democrat out of hatred, so they may stay home on Tuesday 3 Nov 2026.

Disgruntled Democrats won't vote for a Republican out of common sense, so they may stay home on Tuesday 3 Nov 2026 too.

Who loses more disgruntled voters on 3 Nov 2026 will decide the winner and right now ICE is not helping the Republicans.

Hi Hamburglar:

Unfortunately the US system appears binary, Democratic or Republican, with fringe candidates or platforms like Dr Jill Stein and her Green Party. But the third choice is "no vote," which is what happened to Dems on Tuesday 5 Nov 2024.

Unhappy with US support for Israel during the Gaza genocide, millions of progressives opted for "no vote" in Nov 2024. They didn't flock to Jill Stein who won a meager 628,000 votes (0.4% of eligible voters).

The same happened to the Democrats in 1968 when they lost progressives because of their support for the Vietnam War and the draft. These progressives didn't flock to Richard Nixon or segregationist George Wallace, they stayed home.

I almost stayed home on Tuesday 5 November rather than vote for Kamala Harris who was going to continue US support for Israel.

I held my nose, took my family to the voting site, and we all voted for Kamala Harris because that was POTUS Jimmy Carter's last dying wish. But if I almost stayed home out of disgust for US support of Israel's ethnic cleansing, how many millions of progressives did stay home?

6,265,888 is the delta between the winning 2020 Biden/Harris election and the losing 2024 Harris/Walz election.

So, I look at the disgruntled voters in our trinary system which gives us the binary result.

In the game of bridge when we assess the strength of the 13 cards we are dealt, we count the "losers" first.

If those unmasked ICE agents come to my door in unmarked cars and wearing bulletproof vests labelled Police, I'm not answering the door. If they come back with the state police or the county sheriff in marked vehicles and a warrant, I will. Unwise? Unless a lawyer tells me otherwise, that's the plan.

#27 That it was, Alex.

But what was an earth-shattering event in 2000 sadly became standard operating procedure for ICE under Trump 1.0 (the Miller family separation operation, separating children (plural) from their parents (also plural).

And it is continuing under Trump 2.0.

Meanwhile ...

The fight over custody of Elian Gonzalez ended on April 22, 2000, when heavily armed federal agents raided the Little Havana home of his Miami family. Elian was seized at gunpoint and returned to his father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, who was soon back in Cuba with his 5-year-old son.

Today, Elian still lives in the house where he grew up.

"I grew up with my family. I grew up with those I had to be with and that makes me very happy," Elian Gonzalez said during a 2023 interview with Liz Oliva Fernandez, an independent Cuban journalist for the U.S.-based media outlet Belly of the Beast.

Elian Gonzalez said during the interview that his life is simple, he is married and has a young daughter. Her name is Eliz in honor of his mother Elizabeth, who died at sea during the ill-fated attempt to escape from Cuba.

Can the MAGAts claim that as the result of Pedodent Trump's ICE?

New York Penal Law 175.10 defines Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, a Class E Felony, which occurs when someone commits the misdemeanor of falsifying business records (NYPL 175.05) with an additional intent to defraud, which includes intending to commit another crime or to aid/conceal another crime's commission, escalating the charge from a misdemeanor to a felony, as seen in cases involving financial fraud or covering up underlying illegal acts.

ICE is using Border Patrol mobile facial recognition technology to speed up arrests
www.the-independent.com

... The tool has been used more than 100,000 times so far, according to a new report.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are deploying mobile facial recognition technology to speed up arrests amid President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown, according to a new report.

In recent months, ICE personnel have used a government-created app called Mobile Fortify in order to ascertain the identity of potential detainees, The Wall Street Journal reported.

It's been hailed as a powerful new tool by administration officials, while privacy advocates and Democratic lawmakers have decried it as a form of unchecked government overreach.

The app allows agents to snap a photo of a suspect's face with their phone and quickly pull up the person's name, location, social media history ...

Perhaps that is why I have hear reports of ICE agents calling a protester by name (for intimidation?) and also ICE agents going to the home address of a protester?

Perhaps that is now why VP "obey or die" Vance is now saying that ICE will be knocking on doors?

Undocumented presence (without an associated entry/reentry crime) is most analogous to a civil traffic infraction: it is a legal violation that government can act on, but it is not itself a crime and is handled in a separate civil system.

Just as some driving behavior elevates a basic traffic infraction into a criminal offense, some immigrationrelated conduct (improper entry or illegal reentry) elevates the situation into criminal prosecution in addition to the underlying civil removability.

Of course I also asked about the effects upon the economy. Even Pres Trump seems to realize the contributions of illegal migrants as he seems to mostly avoid targeting red-state facilities (farms, meat-processing plants) that employ illegal immigrants.

Back in the Biden presidency, Pres Biden wrangled Congress to enact a bill that would have satisfied most of the Republican demands for controlling illegal immigration.

t looked like it was going to pass on a bi-partisan basis.

But, then, what happened?

Then candidate Trump issued his dictum to the Republicans in Congress, do not pass that bill. We need it as a political talking point in the upcoming election.

So, then candidate Trump, politics over what is good for the Country.

You want mass deportations.

And to make it even sweeter, bell boi, you and your MAGA filth want to denaturalize US citizens so that they, too, can be mass deported

And don't give anyone here - including me - your usual ------- about "Be specific," because it is there for anyone to see, bell boi:

Donald Trump has publicly stated he would "absolutely" pursue denaturalization of some U.S. citizens if he had the power, and his administration has developed plans for a significant expansion of denaturalization efforts, aiming to process up to 200 cases per month. This marks a major shift from historical norms and has sparked considerable concern among legal experts and immigrant advocates.
Why, it was all there, in writing, for everyone to see:
Project 2025 proposes to "turbocharge" the denaturalization efforts from the first Trump administration by making it a top enforcement priority for the Department of Justice (DOJ). This plan, detailed in the policy blueprint Mandate for Leadership, calls for the revival of a specific U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) denaturalization unit.
Why do you think a part of the federal government actually posted this.

Yeah, bell boi, you and your MAGA filth don't give a --- about anyone who isn't white and "American." You want 100,000,000 people "disappeared" from the so-called land of the free.

An ever-larger share of ICE's arrested immigrants have no criminal record (December 2025)
stateline.org

... Immigration arrests under the Trump administration continued to increase through mid-October, reaching rates of more than 30,000 a month. But, rather than the convicted criminals the administration has said it's focused on, an ever-larger share of those arrests were for solely immigration violations. ...

"The result stands in contrast to the administration's objective of arresting the worst of the worst,'" said Ariel Ruiz Soto, a senior policy analyst at the nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute. ...

The share of arrested immigrants who had been convicted of violent crimes has dropped from 9% in January to less than 5% in October. The share under Biden was consistently between 10% and 11% during the same period in 2024.

The same trend applies to people arrested solely on immigration violations: Immigration violations alone were behind 20% in April, then rose to 44% of arrests in October, according to Stateline's analysis.

In some states and the District of Columbia, a majority of arrests were for immigration violations alone: the District of Columbia (80%), New York (61%), Virginia (57%), Illinois (53%), West Virginia (51%) and Maryland (50%).

States with high immigrant populations also saw the most arrests this year. The largest numeric increases were in Texas (up 29,403, triple last year's figure), Florida (up 14,693, a fourfold increase) and California (up 13,345, a fourfold increase). ...

" Here's a solution - enter legally. Problem solved"

Tell that to the Haitian workers in Ohio. They entered legally, and settled in Ohio based on the requests of the business owners. Then Republicans lied about them eating domesticated animals, to the point where the government building and the school both had to close down temporarily due to bomb threats.

When caught, JD Vance told the reporter he would continue lying, if that's what it took for the media to cover the Republicans' false claims.

Ultimately, you saw all that, and said, "That gets my vote!"

So no: entering legally is NOT enough for you.

Are you lying, or just refusing to address reality?

It appears to be extremely difficult to be a Republican these days.... if one still wants to have any morals, values, or brains.

They are just treading water now, knowing that eventually they will drown in irrelevancy.

But hey, if the bible story is true, and if the man who fits ALL of it's many descriptions of the Worst Person Ever eventually gets that Nobel and also brings great prosperity:

For a 3.5 years. Then halfway through the 7 year ME treaty, he will attack Israel (prolly for not giving him the Building Permits he wants in Gaza, lol!)... and then he will step into the Temple, unleashing the Apocalypse and the combining of the dimensions of Heaven and Earth as One.

Or not. He could just be a truly evil ---- who has fooled some very easily fooled people, and who will die none too soon for most people. There will be yuge lines to piss on his grave.

An ever-larger share of ICE's arrested immigrants have no criminal record (December 2025)

This is because of sanctuary policies. If the sanctuary courts cooperated with ICE, ICE wouldn't need to go into neighborhoods to get the criminals.
Criminals live with non-criminals. enters a home, to arrest the criminal, and is sweeping all member of the household members in the country illegally.
Oh well....

You notice this type of operation is in Blue Sanctuary States and Cities, it looks like targeting but the reality is its where the crazy making is.

Trump's targeting of blue states raises questions about political motives

Fmr Pres Biden's record of arresting the "worst of the worst" is better than Pres Trump's?

So explain the outrage by Liberal White Women? Both administrations are using the same techniques and tactics.

This administration makes no distinction in those that entered legally and those that did not. 40% of those that are "undocumented" entered legally. This administration actually grabs people that are just about to swear their allegiance to the United States and become citizens and deports them. This administration actually goes to the courts where people are proceeding with becoming naturalized or getting hearings on the asylum claims (legally entering) and deports them. This administration, rather than letting someone who is married to a US citizen and has children here that are all US citizens has to make a choice to be deported with or without their family? That rather than naturalize them or put them on a path to become a citizen or at least give them legal residence?

This country is lost. I hope it finds its moral compass.

Borrowing from Pete to pay Paul, the incompetent Trumpf junta is now suffering from "Law of Unintended Consequences."

"We're Broken": As Federal Prisons Run Low on Food and Toilet Paper, Corrections Officers Are Leaving in Droves for ICE

"After years of struggling to find enough workers for some of the nation's toughest lockups, the Federal Bureau of Prisons is facing a new challenge: Corrections officers are jumping ship for more lucrative jobs at ICE.

This is one of the unintended consequences of the sinister Trumpf junta's myopic focus on mass deportations. For months, ICE has been on a recruiting blitz, offering $50,000 starting bonuses and tuition reimbursement at an agency that has long offered better pay than the federal prison system. For many corrections officers, it's been an easy sell.

Many of the problems the agency is facing now are not new, but staff and prisoners fear an exodus of officers could make life behind bars even worse."
