The two parties are the After Birth of America and were exactly what George Washington warned about at the birthing.

The Democratic Party is about 198 years old (founded in 1828), and the Republican Party is about 172 years old (founded in 1854).

Although one could reasonably argue FDR, and LBJ were the root cause of todays debt.

The creation of SS and Medicare is why the debt is so large, entitlements are 2/3rd of the US budget.
