Normally the USSAL would pull into a US base in the region and resupply

We can't do that because the incompetent ----- who lead our country lost the war. they lost these bases.

So, the USSAL can't leave station cause we need the air cover and can't go into base because the bases will be attacked.

Why aren't sailors jumping off the other ships in the task force?
If the US changes its view and recognizes the ICC and its authority, every President since the ICC was created could be charged.
The Iran war is just one among the 20+ years of US Presidents and Congress authorizing acts subject to the ICC.

I am no expert on current naval deployments, but it seems to me that the frigates and destroyers in the AL carrier group can dash off to remote bases for resupply and R&R while the AL cannot since the carrier's air groups are required for CAP etc. Since the gulf bases are no longer usable (probably never will be) the AC has no where to resupply

To be clear it is likely that the US will not be able to use its bases in the Persian Gulf, and certainly not its naval bases in the Persian Gulf for the foreseeable future, possibly not ever again.

Iran controls the Strait, our naval ships would have to pass through that strait to reach bases in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the Emirates.

Consider all of the money we invested in those bases. They are lost

The magnitude of this defeat is immense and barely being considered.

NO ONE is talking about this.

What are the strategic impacts of this defeat?
