Because those all those folks are just like you. They love the weather and the access to anything they need or want within 15 minutes.

That is where I met my wife.

That was when I worked at Hangar 1 at Moffett Field, Sunnyvale.

But lived near Half Moon Bay (El Granada).

Yup. Started out here in Orange County when I was stationed at "Hell Toro" (El Toro was renamed Hell Toro locally after all the toxic waste found there).

As you know that area has become way too crowded now. LA has consumed it. It takes an hour to drive 20 miles some days down there.

I cannot stand the crowds anymore either. So I loaded up the kids and moved north( not quite that simple obviously). Northern California is still an undiscovered country. Mostly. It is beautiful country and the beaches and redwoods are just gorgeous and inspiring. Trinity County is just over the hill with mountain trails rivers and lakes and even still some Gold! Of course we have our problems here too because we are mostly rural here. But.. I have found that the grass is ALWAYS greener somewhere else. So I am staying here a while.

But. They claim it was a "sudden illness".

Meaning to me they had no clue.

Someone should have had a clue. My doctor is aware of my heart condition. I just had a bunch of tests. And they just had me wear this device that monitors it for a week. It would have detected this problem. Surely he has better care than me.

And my heart may be broken (which is why I was having it tested) but it's ticking along just fine apparently.

But this death is an example of how close death is to all of us. Because I could still drop dead tomorrow. Or even today.

Memento Mori. It's just too bad we rarely act accordingly.

I honestly don't care who signs my money only that it is still legal tender. And I will never have the need to use a $250 dollar bill.

However I am not paying for a passport with the Dotards pic on it tho. And I if I get a park pass I'll buy one of those clever covers that slide into the pass and fully covers Dotards ugly pie hole.

I had one of those, it was not fun. Funny, the doctor told me if I didn't start a regimen of pills, I'd be dead soon. That was 10 years ago.

Isn't it interesting to anyone else that with access to the best health care in the world (so I am told over and over ad nauseam) that his heart disease was never detected or treated by any of his doctors?
