Just some reminders
The "illegals" that are at issue are a combination of a WIDE variety of people including
1. People who slipped across the border to work
2. People who slipped across the border to commit crimes
3. People who overstayed a visa of various kinds-work, school, tourist, etc.
4. People who applied for and received Temporary Protected Status
5. People who are in the process of applying for TPS
6. Dreamers-i.e. people who were brought here many, many years ago as children
and others
Shitler intentionally obfuscates by claiming there many many violent criminals and those are who will be targeted for deportation.
But he also says MASS deportation. Those 2 things cannot be jibed. There are not MASSIVE numbers of violent criminals, they are a very very small percentage of the undocumented.
THUS, the intention is mass deportation.
Right or wrong that is in reality a valid position to take, to remove all of those who are not here with legal justification. However, that ignores the fact that many are TPS immigrants and their status would have to be revoked, they are undocumented, but here legally.
Shitler is NOT doing this that way
He is heavy handily aggressively removing people here under a VARIETY of categories-legally and illegally, many without due process.
He COULD do this mass deportation in a humane manner that meets the goals that he allegedly wants to achieve. He could establish a program to remove people that are here illegally through the courts (we could have sufficient courts if he hadn't killed the bipartisan immigration bill). He could seek congressional approval for the removal of TPS for a host or categories.
I believe most Americans are fine with allowing immigrants with TPS who have legitimate claims to be here, those are not the one's who most people want deported. Ex. the Haitians in Springfield OH will likely face deportation, despite being here legally, working hard, not committing crimes, to the point that they have revived a failing midwestern City, where they were encouraged to relocate to.
Shitler would have to act like an adult and have an adult conversation with Americans, i.e. we want to discourage immigration, we want to shut down the border, we want to have a vigorous public debate on TPS.
