Out of an abundance of caution my Department of Public Safety is recommending that people do not attend any political rallies today in Minnesota until the suspect is apprehended.

Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley confirmed that a "manifesto" was discovered in the vehicle of the Minnesota shooting suspect. The document reportedly included a list of names.

"When we did a search of the vehicle, we did find a manifesto that identified many lawmakers and other officials. We immediately made alerts to the state to provide security wherever necessary," he said in a press conference.

According to ABC News, the list included several high-profile Democratic politicians, such as Governor Tim Walz, Representative Ilhan Omar, Senator Tina Smith, and Attorney General Keith Ellison.

CNN further reported that the names also included abortion providers and pro-abortion rights advocates. A law enforcement official told the network that authorities also discovered a Father's Day card addressed to the suspect inside a bag filled with ammunition.

Hmm, is this the guy? Doesn't seem likely, but the name is the same and looks like the other photo but with a beard:

Not one on this thread who knee jerk blamed MAGA will retract if it turns out this shooter truly is a Walz appointee. Also, the MSM will quickly move on if this shooter contradicts left wing narratives.

Just because Walz appointed him to Governor's Workforce Development Board (GWDB) doesn't automatically mean he was a Democrat. He could be, but the board is bipartisan:

Members of the GWDB are appointed by the Governor and serve three-year terms on the board. As required by WIOA and state law, the majority of GWDB members are representatives from businesses across the state. Other members of the board include representatives from labor unions, higher education, Commissioners (or their designees) from various state agencies, legislators from both branches of the Minnesota Legislature, and members of community-based organizations that have demonstrated experience in addressing the employment, training, or education needs of individuals with barriers to employment. There are also many non-voting members of the board that represent state agencies, public education, various state advisory councils and offices, and other workforce development partners.

His involvement in the food industry has also seemingly helped him build inroads to local government. In 2019, Minnesota governor Tim Walz appointed him to a Workforce Development Board in the capacity of a "business and industry representative." The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a Christian supremacist[1] theological belief and controversial movement associated with the far-right that combines elements of Pentecostalism, evangelicalism, and the Seven Mountain Mandate to advocate for spiritual warfare to bring about Christian dominion over all aspects of society, and end or weaken the separation of church and state. Andr Gagn asserts the NAR symbolism of the flag "has completely turned" from the original meaning to now "support the idea that Trump should be president, that he's chosen by God." The flag is displayed outside Speaker Mike Johnson's Capitol Hill office and has flown at the New Jersey vacation home of United States Supreme Court justice Samuel Alito.

Something interesting I'm posting again showing just who this guy is,

I posted that info before you did and basically said the same thing, but now that more info has emerged, it is clear that the gunman is a Chirstian nationalist preacher who voted for Trump. No nuance involved. Read the Wired article I linked to upthread.

He may have had personal problems that put him over the edge. I read his was looking for a job. Maybe he had financial problems. OTOH, this attack was well thought out. This wasn't impulse attack. He didn't plan on getting confronted by the police in the middle of the night, so who knows who else might have been planning to kill.
