It's absolutely absurd the way he is being canonized. In my area folks are organizing candlelight vigils and motorcycle runs for him. They're treating him like he was MLK and JFK and Ghandi rolled into one.

The beatification of a good-for-nothing, spiteful, hatemongering college dropout continues. And the ever-vacationing VPOTUS has nothing better to do? Americans are paying the VPOTUS salary so he can spew hatred for several hours on Monday.

So Vile': MAGA Maniacs Go After Black Professor After She Says Charlie Kirk and His Followers Terrorized Her for Months

Something that's apparent in the abuse Patton and many other educators have endured over the years at the hands of Turning Point and the MAGA faithful, if they were labeled by Kirk and his followers as advancing "leftist propaganda."

"For weeks, my inbox and voicemail were deluged. Mostly white men spat venom through the phone: ------,' ---,' n****r.' They threatened all manner of violence," Patton described.

"They overwhelmed the university's PR lines and the president's office with calls demanding that I be fired," Patton said. "The flood was so relentless that the head of campus security reached out to offer me an escort, because they feared one of these keyboard soldiers might step out of his basement and come do me harm."

Worth a read:

My Statement to the American People on The Death of Charlie Kirk
Michael Fanone

Democracy doesn't survive in that environment. Free speech doesn't survive. We don't survive.

Charlie Kirk's death doesn't make him a martyr. It doesn't redeem his politics. But it does mark another line we've crossed in this country"a line that should never have been crossed in the first place.

I'll say it again: violence is not politics. And if we don't reclaim that principle right now, we're going to lose the very thing that makes this place worth fighting for.

He absolutely should not have done that. The post was 100% accurate, Kirk wanted gay people killed. That he called for it with a dog whistle is not relevant.

King should apologize for apologizing now.

What, where the folks who used to bitch and moan about cancel culture are now taking cancel culture to the extreme?

As usual, the right takes an actual grievance, accelerates it under the guise of "but they ddiiiiiiiid it toooooo" and is far worse than anyone or anything they previously criticized.

How long until the Roundups of "Leftists" begin?

The Repression is just beginning. First the Tears.

Then the Firings of people who "didn't love Charlie".

Then the dismantling of any political organizations the MAGA deem hostile. Legal or not.

Then the labeling of political dissent as "Terrorism" with long prison terms attached, all greenlit by the SCOTUS.

Open resistance will be violently put down by the Military.

Fun Times.

If you're a Dictator looking to consolidate control.

Was Charlie Sacrificed so Trump could become a Real Dictator?

It looks somewhat like It.

"We can condemn political violence and Kirk's murder while also condemning Charlie Kirk for the rotten, vile hatred he fomented."

Oh no the hell we can't. Liberals already normalized attacking people with different opinions. Liberals already normalized destroying someone's life because they don't have the same ideologies. Burying your head in the sand when it's your party being violent but then pointing fingers when it's someone else is absolutely why this country won't survive, or at least will become just like religious countries who kill each other over belonging to different sects. And I'm not saying liberals started this, just that liberals aren't innocent in any way and have behaved just like cons...and vice versa.

Reps have condemned for quite some time now all the murders, rapes, etc. that occur because liberals want open borders. That is fomenting rotten, vile hatred. Any objective person can see this and any intelligent person can see how they are the EXACT SAME THING. Dems and Reps have done this for so long now that neither side can even see anything different. That's just how our country is and it won't change. Case in point...

"As usual, the right takes an actual grievance, accelerates it under the guise of "but they ddiiiiiiiid it toooooo" and is far worse than anyone or anything they previously criticized."

What about gerrymandering Dems did in the 90s but now they are whining and crying that Reps are doing it to the significant level they did back then? What about liberals who cry about police and then pay top dollar for security? What about Dems crying about if you don't cater to trans then "the blood is on your hands" but when Reps cry about not catering to illegals who rape, kill, etc. you all of a sudden don't understand English.

Once again, pointing fingers while ignoring all the bad your own party has done is terrible. We NEED to be two separate countries at this point solely because of people like you. You have just as much right to spew your ideologies and opinions that Reps do but people like you can't live with others who don't accept your ideologies and opinions. Which, even a 10-year-old can understand how that just makes things worse.

Your statement is unbelievable when there are so, so, soooooooooooo many examples of Dems doing the same exact thing you are whining about. All of this is part of documented history...much of it recent. You can't argue it without being seen as illiterate. You can't say what you said without being a hypocrite. So, why are you choosing to spread hate and misinformation instead of working to solve the negatives your party does that are just like the other party?

Oh yes we can. It is critical to do so. This is the very reason the First Amendment was written. So we CAN do that. Because it is required for our form of government to exist. Otherwise we get what you really want which is anti-democratic.

"We can condemn political violence and Kirk's murder while also condemning Charlie Kirk for the rotten, vile hatred he fomented."

These are interesting words considering he was murdered for apparently hatred far-left Hitleraraians fomented.

Its strange to me seeing "Lumpers" trample/laugh/harass Charlie memorials, and at the same time claim they are condemning his murder.

The facts don't match the rhetoric.

LyinYav, LiesHurt, and DonorBot have been fomenting hatred for right wing people as long as I have been here. They are in part why Charlie was murdered. Yet ironically they claim they are the "tolerant" ones, the peaceful ones. I just don't see it, you lie, you call people names, you call everyone Hitler. Its just so comical.

Charlie Kirk spent years spreading hate and anger amongst America's most poorly educated.

That's why Trump loved him so much, Kirk pitted Americans against each other, distracting from the fact billionaires are robbing our nation.

Fact is, Charlie Kirk was a hate monger inspiring millions to hate.

In the end, he inspired someone to kill him.

Which is inspiring more hatred.

All while Trump pours gas on the entire situation.

No president has preached anger, division and hate as much as Trump has.

Trump's endgame is the complete collapse of the United States of America.

Fair point.

I'm seeing on Facebook a post that identifies the cities that did not observe a moment of silence for Kirk at their NFL games. Then, the subsequent posts attempt to compare this to whether or not they did the same thing for George Floyd.

Well I recall the lefties would cancel people for donating $25 to a GoFundMe, or an Obama mask as a clown.

IOW a difference of political opinion.

There's a big difference between a political opinion, and figuratively "dancing on someone's grave".

It's not complicated, even as a liberal I really don't want to be associated with those people.

Quoting out of context is. I don't make the rules.

They were made by Lumpers like yourself.

Many people have quoted him actually quoting someone else, and him responding to it with kindness is ignored.

Thank the Gawds for that foreign agitator!

And Umm. No it's not a rule.

What rule is that and who made it up?

If you don't want to be "quoted out of context" don't say things that can be "quoted out of context".

If you want to be an "influencer " be careful what you say. It can and will be used against you in a court of public opinion.

Kirk was a racist, misogynistic, homophobe, and he did it all to dull people's shock of his words. Over time, he took the sting out of what he was saying, and in the next five years, I believe Reichwing media will regularly and flagrantly us the "N" word when referring to black folks. I wonder though about our silos. Those of us on Earth One know Kirk for what he was, a low-rent Limpbag, but on the Reich they're talking about him going into the lions den armed with only a microphone and a Bible. So does the algorithm stop these folks from seeing all the hate and lies, or is the racism, misogyny, and homophobia so baked in that it's now just part of the MAGAt brand?
