So you think he did a lot of practicing, took time to dial in his sights, in a mock-up scenario that matched his distance and elevation to target. I'm not saying that didn't happen but that's a lot of time and dedication for "a kid."

He could just as easily been going for a center of mass shot that went high. But knowing how gravity works as a downward force, I assume the bullet's downward velocity component was higher than the zero downward velocity component you'd get if you fired from level ground.
