Pogroms committed in the West Bank

www.btselem.org

For decades, Israel has employed a slew of measures designed to make life in dozens of Palestinian communities throughout the West Bank miserable. This is part of an attempt to force residents of these communities to uproot themselves, seemingly of their own accord. Once that is achieved, the state can realize its goal of taking over the land. To advance this objective, Israel forbids members of these communities from building homes, agricultural structures or public buildings. It does not allow them to connect to the water and power grids or build roads, and when they do, as they have no other choice, Israel threatens demolition, often delivering on these threats.

So, let's look at intent

Key Statements by High-Ranking Officials

Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister): Netanyahu invoked biblical references in October 2023 regarding Amalek"frequently cited in legal proceedings (such as South Africa's case at the International Court of Justice) as an allusion to total destruction"stating: "You must remember what Amalek has done to you, saith our Bible." In other addresses, he spoke of turning Gaza into a "ruined city" and declared that Israel's response would "reverberate for generations."
Yoav Gallant (Former Defense Minister): In the days immediately following October 7, 2023, Gallant announced a total siege on the Gaza Strip, stating: "We are imposing a complete siege on Gaza. There will be no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel. Everything is closed." He also publicly referred to the combatants and context by stating: "We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly."
Isaac Herzog (President): During an October 13, 2023 press conference addressing accountability for the population in Gaza, Herzog stated: "It's an entire nation out there that is responsible. It's not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware, not involved. It's absolutely not true... and we will fight until we break their backbone."
Bezalel Smotrich (Finance Minister): Smotrich has repeatedly advocated for the re-settlement of Gaza and suggested that starving or depriving the entire population of Gaza might be "justified and moral" until hostages are returned, remarking in early 2024 that it is "justified and moral, even though nobody will let us cause 2 million civilians to die of hunger, even though it might be justified and moral."
Itamar Ben-Gvir (National Security Minister): Ben-Gvir has publicly called for the total encouragement of the "voluntary migration" of Palestinians out of Gaza and demanded cutting off humanitarian aid and fuel into the territory until Hamas is completely crushed.

Let's look at the Holocaust museum's definition of genocide

The legal term "genocide" refers to certain acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. Genocide is an international crime, according to the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948). The acts that constitute genocide fall into five categories:

Killing members of the group

Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group

Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction, in whole or in part

Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group

Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Clearly Israel has been doing some if not most of the 5 categories.

#20 TH: on the one hand i can very much relate to your disdain for all the working class morons who voted for Trump over and over again. As if they deserve now every bad thing that is happening to them and their communities. On the other hand, I think we all know that if this country is once again to become whole and move forward there must be some meaningful level of reconciliation after these past ten years of the greatest national polarization sine the Civil War. It cannot come from the top down. It must come from us, We The People, in our attempts to lay the disdain aside. Tall order but I think that becomes our duty if we truly are patriotic Americans.

You seem to be under the impression that there is a solution to this problem.

There isn't

There are 2 types of people in this country-the sane and the insane

The insane cannot become sane and the sane cannot become insane

Half the population is morally bankrupt. They do not have nor understand the most basic concept of ethics or morality.

Either they are stupid or evil, but there is no changing that, there is no reconciliation

They believe you are less human than them. They believe they have a god given right to rule over you.

That cannot be changed

And certainly not while the conservative regressive revolution is underway.

They have destroyed the connective tissue that held our country together. They are the ones perverting the mystic chords of memory Lincoln talked about

Teach them morals first, then we can talk
