sorry...I mistyped Kilmeade's quote. He said "involuntary lethal injection" as if there is such a thing as voluntary lethal injection in the US.

We know that Donald Trump regularly watches this show so don't be surprised even he starts calling for killing the homeless.

As one who lived homeless for years, on the street and in rescue missions...life at the bottom is so bad, so painful, I would vote to make death with dignity laws available, on a voluntary basis, to those with degenerating diseases including dementia, and for those of us over 70...it is a human right to control our lives, and life at the bottom is pretty much the definition of hell on earth. It is a deliberate choice, for the far right Republican Party, to pretty much work to push the poor and the powerless onto those ice floes...Look at what they are trying to do to what health care we do have, what housing we do have....

It took no time at all for millions of Americans to devolve to this point.
Of course, I've often said that they were always this way.
There was a dream that was America that offered people a way out of this sort of Hell.
I wonder why they never found it appealing?

"Hunting homeless people is the sport of the future." Soon to be followed by hunting sick people causing a strain on healthcare systems. Followed by hunting anno Followed by hunting people who want to tae away our guns which we have a "God given right to own!" Followed by hunting them God damned libruls. Followed by hunting down teenagers...who do you think the gangs are made up of...no teenagers...no gangs! Followed by hunting down those in their early 20's because some of them are still in gangs! Followed by hunting down those in their 70's because we suck up Social Security bevefits by refusing to die. Save Social Security....make 75 the maximum age to recieve benefits....oh wait....then I'll only have a few more months to live??? Oh well, my kids coulduse the money they could sell the condofor and thet;re sort of tired of me asking them to come fix things so terminate the old bitch!

It's stuff like this that basically forces me to vote Democrat.
And it's not just homeless people. It's everyone who is not like them.
Just look at Bozo, the DR tough guy who's ready to storm corner coffee shops to kill libs at a moments notice. (More likely not and he's all talk).
There is no coming up with reasonable solutions with these people. All can think of exterminating the people who are also victims of a nationwide problem. Final solutions.
I hate making Nazi comparisons, but this is in line.

Thanks to the efforts of Trump and republicans, Americans will soon start dying of pestilence and famine.
Between Kristi Noem and RFKJR, people will have to pay more for less to eat and will fall victim to easily preventable illnesses.
MAGA!!!

The articles I see on this have all understandably focused on Kilmeade but his statement is really just a one part of the problem. His statement was a follow on to that from one of his cohosts who suggested we should imprison the homeless and mentally ill for simply existing. Kilmeade then made his comment and both of his cohosts appeared to agree with him. Neither appeared to have thought his statement went way too far. That they weren't immediately pulled off the air and an apology issued by the network is all anyone should need to know about the extremism that is systemic at Fox News.

Nothing at all will happen to Kilmeade. All he did was say the quiet part out loud. (And Matt Dowd got canned?) MAGAts always forgive members of the tribe. Often, with actual pardons.

John,
There is a certain cruelty in letting people waste away on the streets.
At this point, I don't think anything will change unless we step in by putting them in facilities where they can detox, get clean, and be treated like human beings again.
If they have family willing to take them after rehabilitation, great. But for those who can't care for themselves, we can't just throw them back out there.
It's cruel to stand by and do nothing. If they can't make sound decisions for themselves, then society needs to make that decision for them.
#30 | Posted by BillJohnson at 2025-09-15 10:56 AM | Reply
---- that. Do you want someone deciding everything For you?
People have the right to Exist. Convenient or not.
If they commit crimes that's one thing, but for just existing on the street with nowhere else to go?
For being poor?

This is absolutely no different than the ideology liberals have that if someone kills a bunch of people, we should let them live in society with no penalties and he/she should be free to kill more. One side wants to kill those people, the other side wants those people to be free to kill others.
Both sides are freaking stupid yet they can't take 5 minutes away from vilifying the other side to see how much their own villainy is hurting people.

In my MAGA city, they periodically bulldoze the homeless camp.
Making very poor people poorer yet.
It seems to make sense to them.

Your comment is nothing but a deflection. I'll ask you directly, should we execute the chronically homeless in our country for no other reason than they exist?

Eff,
If they're not mentally ill and just need to get clean, they likely won't agree to giving up their addiction because...well...they're addicted.
Then they can go free after getting some help.
You think of anything better that hasn't been tried?

He did apologize but and as part of his apology he also said "I am obviously aware that not all mentally ill, homeless people act as the perpetrator did in North Carolina and that so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion."
It's not obvious to me that he believes homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion since he was calling for their imprisonment and execution the day prior. Sounds to me like he was ordered by his superiors to apology or take a hike when the only option he should have been given was walk out of the building on your own or have security drag you out.
