Doesn't matter. Unless this was highly personal (ie Kirk was abusing the guy's daughter or something...), motive won't mean a damn thing.

I'm sure there are more than a few out there who were just looking for the excuse after Trump was shot at.

Might want to start thinking about how to respond to and prepare for political violence instead of whining about something entirely irrelevant.

Trump's shooter used a .223, which was an objectively poor choice for that shot. I think Trump owes his life, in part, to that choice.
Today's assassination was a 200 yd shot and, judging by the video, was definitely not a .223.
I think this contrasts a person who didn't know much about guns to this case where I think the shooter is much more familiar.

The only thing I've said on that was that it was, IMO, the more likely explanation given what little information was ever released and, most importantly, the mountain of information that was never released.

It was a hugely strange ordeal that just *poof* went away once Trump was done wearing the ear gauze at the convention.

Far far too quick and quiet a matter considering it was an attempted assassination of a former POTUS who was the current candidate and who is, by their nature, a constant seeker of the limelight.

I think the only thing worth arguing about is how long he waits before he does exactly that.
