It's being called a mistake by the administration because the election video was followed by the video an X user put out a while back depicting a lot of politicians depicted as animals. I've seen a couple of articles claiming the post is now taken down but the the feathers can't be put back in the pillow at this point.

A simple apology and explanation of the "mistake" should be in order, but I haven't seen anything yet. If that doesn't happen, he's toast and the independents/ conservative people of color will take note for the midterm elections.

But, Trump didn't share the full clip, at least not this time.

What Trump posted was a loop of the first couple seconds of the full clip that only showed the Obamas as apes.

I'm surprised he didn't frame it and hang it in the east wing of the White House.
