Biden in 2020 isn't the person he is today. He's 81 years old and four years in the White House has aged him a lot more than that, like the job usually does.
Which is why I said then what a stupid, shortsighted choice Bide and Harris was.
I love Biden more than anybody here, but he wasn't going to do better tonight than Harris is doing.
Nope. But the Dems should have planned for a one term Biden admin. That had to have known 4 years would render Biden incapable of a second term...or, at least planned for it. Planning for it would have meant a better pick than a mediocre, back of the pack 2020 candidate from a solidly blue state that brought nothing to the table beyond shallow identity politic bullshit.
She was able to make millions of voters enthusiastic and fired up to support her.
That's yet to be seen. Last I saw, both were in the 50 million something vote range with zero large states left and significant portions of votes already counted. I'd be genuinely surprised if vote counts increase by enough to support your assertion above.
If anything, it seems like the same people who could be relied upon to vote just voted earlier.
Biden was never going to be able to recover from the major media hammering him for an entire month for being older, softer-spoken, and less rhetorically sharp.
If the mainstream press had covered Trump the same way, instead of the double standard where his age, confusion and nonsense didn't matter, tonight would be different.

Coulda shoulda woulda. Again, the contingency planning should have been for beyond 2020. Dems have showed, yet again, why they're a sad excuse for an opposition part to the absolute pile of garbage and bulls*&^ that is the GOP.
