Trump-Harris debate as the two presidential nominees face off on ABC News for the first time after Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 race. The debate begins at 9 pm eastern time.
Videos over months prove this observation true:
Go to one of Donald Trump's rallies. He talks about Hannibal Lecter, windmills causing cancer"and you will even notice people leaving early out of boredom. The one thing you will not hear him talk about is you.pic.twitter.com/cbIgKnchoj
- Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) September 11, 2024
That was one of the more bizarre things I've seen in my years of observing elections which first caught my attention in 4th grade as my grandfather was on the ballot for re-election as Justice of the Peace.
Living through the Nixon years, political science degree, law degree, just general interest in the body politic that performance was weird. As typically seen in multiple presidential debates neither ever answered a question. One tried to articulate some semblance of unity the other just ranted about "stuff" that that may get him elected. NOBODY TOLD ME. (Ultimate Mix, 2020) - John Lennon (official music video HD)
Can anyone name a single detail of any singular policy that Trump articulated tonight?
"The moderators allowed Trump to interrupt way more than Harris." - First off, no they didn't. Trump's mic was muted while she was speaking. So, let's dispense with this lie right now.
Officially, Trump spoke 5 minutes longer than Harris tonight according to ABC.
You're as bad as Trump with the gaslighting. Stevie Wonder could see that Trump talked far more than Harris did without any meaningful pushback from the moderators. And we all know why: Trump's a bully and he'll happily tell you that's how he dominates "weaker" opponents. There's a thread about it right now on the Front Page.
That is absolutely ridiculous. Further, Trump was (shockingly!) poor at articulating, but when he commented about "murdering babies outside of the womb" he was referencing comments made by former governor Northam who flat-out said that after a botched abortion if the baby came out alive the doctors and parents should be allowed to go into keep the baby comfortable (like with a dying elderly person) until it expires without providing any kind of life-affirming care. Northam flat-out said that and Trump's recitation of that got 'fact-checked.' Meanwhile, ZERO fact-checks of Harris's lies, and she had plenty of them. It's not the job of the moderators to fact-check - it's the job of the debate opponents to do so. But if the moderators decide to fact-check it absolutely needs to be done across the board. Didn't happen.

Sane-Washing Trump's Craziness and Lies is so cute.
The problem was Harris simply didn't get much wrong so the very basic fact checking didn't happen for her.
I'm sorry but Harris was pretty factually accurate throughout the debate. The best you have is things like "this is out of context", "that is a high estimate but we aren't sure yet", and "this number isn't up to date with September data."
Donald was telling crazy ass, easily disproven lies. That's why he got fact checked a few times and they let slip 95% of the rest of his lies.
If you are too stupid to understand the difference, it's no wonder you are voting for Trump.
