Many states have decided to allow undocumented residents to get a DL for very good reasons.

These include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington (along with D.C.).

Pointing out that obtaining basic documentation on the eve of a critical election which often involves hidden costs, complex bureaucracy, limited access to government offices, and systemic obstacles is not "racist".

Calling the questioning of the new proposed election requirements as "racist" overlooks the documented inequalities in access, and implementing such rules without addressing those gaps on the eve of a critical election is and will be viewed as disenfranchising and could even be considered an attempt at tampering or rigging the elections in favor of the incumbent.
