They need to do something about healthcare prices. Restore ACA subsidies, pass a bill for Medicare for folks 55 and over (even if Trump vetoes it), pass a bill to send money to rural communities to shore up healthcare facilities in that are in danger of going bankrupt.They aren't going to be able to lower costs across the board, but they need to be seen making good faith efforts to do so.

Oh, I think Trump will be raging on Truth Social for a long time. Because he didn't just wipe out in the midterms, he also lost a lot of the power he's been abusing. That's going to be a bitter pill to swallow.

Not to mention what this midterm shellacking will do to the GOP's presidential hopeful (J.D. Vance) in the next general ~ or any other candidate for that matter.

Then, there's the loss of all those oligarch donations (selling political favors) that will dry up.

Then, of course, there's the bitter impeachment and conviction with Vance, a lame duck pro tem, who will only be a further embarrassment to the GOP.

Did you see the video of Jason Turkish explaining his wife's turncoat politics? It was on one of the Fox shows.
He looked like someone was pointing a gun at his head.
In a different interview, sis wife kept shaking her head "no" when answering why she switched sides.
These two people very obviously got the call from the million dollar donors saying, it's time to do the thing we pay you to do.
