Funny you should mention that.

No having a valid drivers license is a misdemeanor. In California they call those "wobblers" -meaning prosecutors have the discretion to file it either as a minor infraction or a misdemeanor

Anyone "working on getting a drivers license renewed" will have all the appropriate documents to prove it and the officer would only write a fix it ticket (due process) or just let the driver go after inspecting the documents.

The same thing should be happening with an immigration enforcement. Especially being as most of those violations are also just misdemeanors or minor infractions.

We went in a field trip to a cathedral in Washington DC. Guess that's what ruined organized religion for me.

Actually it was a wonderful trip. We listened to the choir and climbed the tower and I kissed my girlfriend in the crypt and afterwards we had Japanese food (I dont remember why but I do remember it was yummy!)

And I was exposed to a different religion from the one I was raised in. Which made me realize of course at the time that there were different religions in the world and maybe I should look into them before I made up my mind about things.
